CAS(E) this Sketch #307

Happy Thursday and welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #307! It's another lovely one from Donna Mikasa, that can be interpreted in so many ways. Be sure to take a peek at what the rest of the DT has come up with, as they are sure to inspire.
I have a happy occasion to create for, as a new member of the family, a baby girl, will be arriving next month! This decidedly feminine card starts with a pretty oval frame, some lovely gingham and floral patterns and a trio of petite, sparkle-y flowers.... all on a clean Fresh Snow Linen base. The beautiful, hand lettered sentiment/die is the finishing touch.
We hope that you'll love this sketch and will be inspired to play along. Can't wait to see your addition to the CTS #307 gallery!

Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday!

                         THROWBACK THURSDAY -
Happy Hearts + Cover Plate: Hearts

It's time for the latest 'Throwback Thursday' feature over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, where we are highlighting the amazing Happy Hearts stamp set and the coordinating Cover Plate: Hearts die!
This rainbow of color makes me so happy....... and a quick pass with the Cover Plate: Hearts die help to easily create this beautiful array of hues and patterns! These pretty hearts are not just for Valentine's Day, but for any occasion when you are wanting to send a heartfelt greeting!

The scallop stamp from Corner Adorner: December, stamped in Weathervane ink, creates an adorably wonky frame for my rainbow of hearts. The Cover Plate: Hearts die is cut down just a bit (4 1/4") to fit into the frame and on to this 5" square card.

The delicate sentiment (also in Weathervane) from the XO Skinny Mini Mini stamp set, is die cut using the petite banner from Tag Sale #10.

Many thanks for joining me today. Please take a peek at the Papertrey Ink Blog, and at Lizzie's AMAZING creation, for more lovely inspiration using the Happy Hearts stamps and Cover Plate: Hearts die!

Papertrey Ink January Release - Day Five!

Together forever blooms
+Circle of love + vintage type
Hello and welcome Day FIVE of Papertrey Ink’s January release! We hope that you are enjoying all of the sneak peeks and projects that have been shown and are feeling truly inspired to create ..... and then share what you love!
Today is all about handmade love and friendship!! There are, count 'em, THREE new and  amazing stamp/die collections: Together Forever Blooms, Circle of Love and Vintage Type..... all just beautiful in every way. Lots of florals to mix and match, an abundance of great sentiments AND a fabulous type background!
All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on January              15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Oh.... such pretty florals in the new Together Forever Blooms! These lovely floral/leafy images all have a two-step/layering component, although I've chosen to use just the outline stamps, which have been embossed in white. A bit of messy watercoloring and a few splatters of white paint were added to the Classic Kraft card front.

A thin layer of Terracotta Tile peeks out from behind the main image and the petite tag (the smallest from the Paper & Package Essential Tag Die collection) with a perfect sentiment as the finishing touch.

My second card, with florals from the new Circle of Love and Vintage Type stamped 'LOVE', is bold and bright...... in shades of Weathervane, Raspberry Fizz and Simply Chartreuse.

The card base is created with the scalloped notecard die from my much loved Don't Forget to Write die collection and embossed with the new Shape Shifters: Square 4 die.  'LOVE' (from Traveler's Journal: Passport Cover Dies) is stamped in Weathervane ink, utilizing just a portion the new Vintage Type stamp. The delicate 'you' die, from the new Bold Borders: Arabesque, completes my sentiment.

The pretty florals shown are just a snippet of all the beauty that is Circle of Love! Many of the images are intended as a two-step process, but also look amazing on their own. Oh..... and some great  new sentiments/dies go along with Circle of Love too! I've created a little 4" square envelope in Bitty Big: Raspberry Fizz to accompany my petite notecard.

Well, that's is for me today! Many thanks for stopping by and helping to celebrate more of the January countdown! Be sure to check in on Betsy, Dawn, Kelly, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa P, and Melissa B and Stephanie over at the Papertrey Ink BLOG to see their fabulous creations using these great new  January Papertrey products.

Papertrey Ink January Release - Day Three!

Glorious globes: january
+ Sentiment staples: just a note
+ bold borders: arabesque

Yay!! It's Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's January 2019 release and there is much more to share with you! It's a Lizzie Jones kinda day, as she is introducing the newest addition to the Glorious Globes line of stamps/dies, a new Sentiment Staples, 'Just A Note' (with oodles of perfect little accessorizing sentiments) AND another great design in the fantastic Bold Borders series - Bold Borders: Arabesque!

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th @ 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

A snippet of watercolored paper was the jumping off point for this little love card, using the new Glorious Globes: January, with lots of pretty blues and aquas! The Bitty Big: Classic Kraft stripes act as the perfect 'neutral' background.

To pick up on the 'makes the world go round' sentiment, which is stamped in Cocoa Bean, I've layered my card front in the same hue. A few petite, watercolored hearts and a bit of rustic twine are the finishing touches.

My second card incorporates the most beautiful Bold Borders: Arabesque frame and die cut 'you', florals from the new Let's Fiesta, and just one of the sentiments included in the Sentiment Staples: Just A Note stamp set.

There are lots of brightly colored flowers.... contrasting with all of that lovely white space, the bold red border and crisp sentiment.

I wanted to try something a little different with the rectangular Bold Borders: Arabesque frame....... cutting it down a bit  and re-framing it to create this 4.75" square card.

Well, that's is for me today! Many thanks for stopping by and helping to celebrate more of the January countdown! Be sure to check in on Amy, Betsy, Dawn, Kelly, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa B and Stephanie over at the Papertrey Ink BLOG to see their fabulous creations using these great new January Papertrey products.
Have a wonderful day!

Papertrey Ink January Release - Day Two!

frame it out: what's inside
+ nesting basics: ovals
+worth the wait + even more: worth the wait

Welcome to Papertrey Ink's January 2019 Release - Day 2! There are MANY more amazing new Papertrey goodies to sneak peek, and it's all about ways to celebrate!  Rebecca Luminarias has designed the lovely Frame It Out, a clever set of confetti type images with loads of great coordinating sentiments and a frame cut-out die. And, Lizzie Jones' Nesting Basics: Ovals (which will coordinate wonderfully with the soon-to-be-released Nesting Basics: Pierced Ovals)...... a must have for your crafting arsenal! Lastly, there's the beautiful Worth the Wait and the coordinating Even More: Worth the Wait, designed by the lovely Jennifer Campbell. These stamps/dies are perfect for that new little addition to the family, but many of those elements can by used for other celebratory occasions!
I know that you will be quite excited about all of these new additions to the Papertrey lineup.  So......get ready for lots more inspiration comin' your way!!

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on January 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

My first project is a shaker card, made by running the Frame It Out: What's Inside frame die through a few times (Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Hibiscus Burst, Summer Sunrise) to create all of that lovely confetti, which is encased in an oval frame.

To create a little extra interest, the background of this 5" square card is embossed in a lattice type pattern, using the middle die from Shape Shifters: Square 4. A thin layer of Berry Sorbet was added, along with a greeting combo from Frame It Out: What's Inside and Sentiment Staples: Warmest Wishes and a bit of coral/white twine.

My second card for today is a floral-y confection, with lots of layers in Vintage Cream Linen,  using the Bold Borders: Dots, and the new Nesting Basics: Ovals and Nesting Basics: Pierced Ovals.

The floral background was stamped with images from Let's Fiesta, in shades of Pale Peony, Berry Sorbet and Simply Chartreuse. Such a pretty color combination!

The lovely hand drawn sentiment from Jennifer Cambell's Worth the Wait, stamped in Berry Sorbet, is the focus of this card front! And that petite bow is the perfect accent.

Well, that's it's for me for today, but so very glad that you stopped by! There's SO much more to see from the Papertrey crew..... so be sure to hop on over to the Papertrey Ink Blog for more inspiration using these fabulous new January products.  Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!
