Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday - 'Holiday Double Cuts'

Throwback Thursday - holiday Double cuts
It's time for the latest 'Throwback Thursday' feature over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, where we are highlighting the amazing Holiday Double Cuts dies! This lovely trio of sentiments will elevate your cards, tags and other holiday projects! Whether you use the beautifully detailed top layer alone/in combination with the solid die, inlay additional color(s) or utilize the negative cut(s), the possibilities are all sure to provide amazing elements for your merry creations!

I've chosen the pretty 'JOY' sentiment for this bold and bright holiday card, using Pure Poppy, Raspberry Fizz and Green Parakeet. The sentiments are framed in white, with a bit of added interest from the Pierced Rectangle frame, and popped up off of the black background with dimensional tape.

The beautiful font of the 'season's greetings' sentiment, simply stamped in black, is the perfect added touch. And...... a bit of b/w twine too!

The second card is another CAS example, using a crisp sentiment from the amazing Sending Joy stamp set! The 'JOY' sentiment has a bit of added color inlay for a little additional interest.

Many thanks for joining me today. Please take a peek at the Papertrey Ink Blog, and at Kelly and Lexi's AMAZING creations, for more lovely inspiration!

Papertrey Ink November Release - Day Five!

 Expressions of empathy
+ corner adorner: November
+ words to live by: caring
+ bold borders: polka dots

Hello and welcome Day FIVE of Papertrey Ink’s November release! We hope that you are enjoying all of the sneak peeks and projects that have been shown and are feeling truly inspired to create ..... and then share what you love!
Today we have more new stamps and dies to share with you, including Lizzie Jones' lovely Expressions of Empathy and the latest addition to the Corner Adorner series. In addition, Betsy Veldman has designed the new Words to Live By: Caring stamps and coordinating die. AND.......the latest and greatest Bold Borders die - POLKA DOTS, y'all!!
All of the new release items will be available through Papertrey Ink tomorrow, November 15th, at 10 pm ET.

I have the pleasure of highlighting the lovely Words to Live By: Caring  AND the fabulous new Bold Borders: Polka Dots die! Some of you may be aware of my proclivity for all things polka dotted, so needless to say, I was jumping up and down to see this newest addition to the Bold Borders line!!

My first project begins with a Sweet Blush 4.25 x 5.5 inch panel, which is ink blended with Sweet Blush, Pale Peony and Hibiscus Burst and then die cut with the new Bold Borders: Polka Dots cover plate die. I saved the center portion of the die cut, which is framed in white with a Pierced Feature Frame die, and stamped my sentiment from Words to Live by: Caring in Weathervane ink.

I stacked a few of the  'caring" dies and and added a bit of ombre shading to this as well. A trio of  tiny Weathervane  hearts, from the You Have My Heart die set, were the finishing touches to this CAS card.

Project number two includes a Dark Indigo/ Pale Peony color palette. Totally clean and simple, with a Pale Peony card base, a die cut Bold Borders: Polka Dots in Dark Indigo and a few layers (Pierced Detail frame and the newest Nesting Basics: Rectangles/Nesting Frames: Pierced Rectangles).

The sentiment is another  combination from the lovely Words to Live By: Caring and is accented by florals from the new Floral Fantasy: Christmas (see?? they are not just holiday stamps!) in Pale Peony and Dark Indigo.

My final project for today is created using soft Vintage Cream Linen card stock, a gold embossed tree from Floral Fantasy: Christmas, sentiment from the new Sentiment Staples: Warmest Wishes and a few subtle green accents.

The center cut out of the Bold Borders: Polka Dots frame is covered by a panel that was die cut using the Nesting Frames: Pierced Rectangles die (which I cut down a bit to fit). A slim layer of Simply Chartreuse is just barely visible, helping to highlight the tiny green sequins accenting the pretty floral tree.

The pretty gold embossed sentiment, from the new Sentiment Staples: Warmest Wishes, was fussy cut. And..... for a bit of height, both the floral tree and 'Warmest Wishes' were attached to the card front using dimensional tape.

Well, that's is for me today! Many thanks for stopping by and helping to celebrate more of the November countdown! Be sure to check in on Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Kelly, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa P, Melissa B and Stephanie over at the Papertrey Ink BLOG to see their fabulous creations using these great new November Papertrey products.

Home to roost +
shape shifters: circle 4 +
mix ups pocket tags

There's SO much more Papertrey Ink October inspiration on view today as we present Lizzie Jones' adorable Home to Roost stamp and die collection - allowing you to create two different birdhouses.... with pretty patterns, a pair of petite birds and a plethora of sentiments. In addition, there's the newest Shape Shifters: Circle 4 die. AND, just in time for this season of giving, the Mix Ups Pocket Tags! These mix and match dies are just so perfect for the holiday season.... and beyond!

Oh.... how I love the adorable birdhouses from the new Home to Roost! Mix and match color and pattern to your heart's content, and don't forget the cute little nest and two-step speckled eggs!

I've combined Home to Roost with the newest Shape Shifters: Circle 4 die and the Berry Wreath Tag Die. Love this soft Sweet Blush/Classic Kraft/Cocoa Bean color combination (with the perfect hint of Aqua Mist)! And, I'm warning you now that I might just be impressing almost every card/project with the new Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles. It adds the prettiest subtle bit of texture!

Next up is a trio of tags using the new Mix Ups Pockets Tags dies! Once again, I am mixing and matching lots of pattern and color in Green Parakeet, Hawaiian Shores and Berry Sorbet.

The adorable snowmen are pom pom-ed, softly glittered and layered onto the tag base, along with  a lovely evergreen and pair of cute bunnies.

The little 'To' and 'From' tags are die cut from the new Nesting Basics: Rectangles and Nesting Basics: Pierced Rectangles and stamped using the pretty greenery and sentiments from the MIM Kit: Fairy Tale Christmas.

Papertrey Ink November Release - Day Three!

fence line: winter
+sentiment staples: warmest wishes
+skinny mini banners

Yay!! It's Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's November 2018 release and there is much more to share with you! Betsy Veldman is introducing the newest addition to the Fence Line series in Fence Line: Winter, full of wonderful winter-y images. In addition, there's a new Lizzie Jones design for the Sentiment Staples line up, Sentiment Staples: Warmest Wishes.  AND....... Dawn McVey's fabulous and oh-so-versatile Skinny Mini Banners!

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on November 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

The newest addition to the Fence Line series creates a beautiful, wintery scene..... with an adorable multi-step snowman, petite cardinals, a lovely tree and garland greenery.

I've ink blended and snowflake embossed the Shape Shifters: Square 3 die, which is the backdrop for my Fence Line: Winter scene (and, if you look quite closely, you might be able to notice a bit of the clear, course glitter that accents the edges.... so pretty IRL). A pair of cardinals, complimenting the pom pom-ed pink hat of the little snowman, flank the pretty garland. And the beautiful sentiment from the new Floral Fantasy is the perfect finishing touch.

My second project combines the new Skinny Mini Banners die (this is just one of the FOUR banner shapes) and Sentiment Staples: Warmest Wishes in a clean and simple holiday card.

The crisp white background contrasts with the rainbow element and black star/sentiment. A bit of black and white twine finishes off this bright holiday greeting.

Since I had all of those little banners die cut and hanging around my messy desk, I created one more card ...... this time with a different holiday sentiment and the addition of little snowflakes from the new Enchanted Forest stamp set.  Which do you prefer??

Thanks so much for stopping by and helping to celebrate the November countdown! Be sure to hop on over to the Papertrey Ink Blog to check in on Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa PMelissa B and Steph to see their fabulous creations using some of the latest and greatest new November Papertrey products. Papertrey Ink November Release - Day One!

floral fantasy: Christmas +
Enchanted Forest + Nesting basics: Rectangles

Good morning and welcome to Papertrey Ink's November release- Day 1! Oh.... SO  MUCH more goodness to share with you, AND just wait until you see what the rest of the amazing Papertrey Ink team has created!
Today we have the pleasure of introducing Jennifer Campbell's beautiful Floral Fantasy stamp and die collection -  full of lovely holiday florals, the most amazing deer and tree images and hand lettered, scroll-y sentiments. Next up is the Enchanted Forest stamp and die collection, designed by Betsy Vedman, which allows you to create an entire whimsical forest!  And then, oh my, there's the oh-so-versatile Nesting Basics: Rectangles. Use them to create perfect layers, windows or frames for your creations... the design options are endless!

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on November 15th at 10PM ET, on the Papertrey Ink website.

Jennifer Campbell's Floral Fantasy: Christmas is just SO pretty..... and I've only touched the surface of all of the gorgeous petite florals, not to mention the amazing deer/reindeer  and tree images, which are quite detailed, and large enough to be the focal point of a card/design.

LOTS of white on white in this card creation.......  framed with the Pierced Feature Frames/Mix & Mat: Confetti dies, all on a bed of embossed polka dots and topped with the perfect sentiment from Floral Fantasy: Christmas!

I've stamped an abundance of the lovely florals (and there are MANY in this amazing stamp set!) as a backdrop to the scrolling sentiment. These petite flowers and gorgeous greenery are for this holiday season...... and waaaaay beyond!

My next project includes just a few of the whimsical trees from the lovely Enchanted Forest in shades of Soft Stone, Aqua Mist and Ocean Tides. There's even a bit of subtle sparkle-y snow of those little trees, which are framed with the new Nesting Basics: Rectangles. The rectangles can be used to die cut narrow frames (as I've used the here), as clean cut bases for your images or to die cut the perfect window for your card creations..

I've created a tag using a circle die cut, tiny folded banner, silver eyelet and metallic cording and have stamped it with just one of the three petite sentiments included in the new Enchanted Forest stamp set.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Be sure to check out today's introductory post over on the Papertrey Ink blog and then check in on Betsy, Dawn, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa Phillips, Melissa Bickford and Stephanie to see how they've used these great new November products.
