CAS(E) this Sketch #295

Hi there...... here's another great design from Chrissy Larson for CAS(E) this Sketch #295! So very versatile, lots of creative options AND many lovely bits of inspiration from the DT.
There's are still lots of pretty poinsettias on my always messy craft desk, so I've created a little pink/navy/green floral arrangement.... in combination with some pretty polka dotted diagonals, a crisp white background and a tiny bit of sparkle. I have lots more florals left so think I'll try this again in a different color combo!
Be sure to hop on over to CASE this Sketch, take a peek at the DT creations and then get down to crafty business. Can't wait to see what you've created for CTS #295!!
Many thanks for joining me today!

Papertrey Ink Throwback Thursday - Tricky Trio Dies

It's time for Throwback Thursday over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, where we are highlighting the amazing 'Tricky Trio' dies. This collection includes three versatile sentiments, which are perfect for all of your Halloween-themed projects!

I've created a little Halloween-appropriate trio of my own, in an Orange Zest/Terracotta Tile/Weathervane/Smokey Shadow/White color combination.... spooky skulls, sparkle-y pumpkins and a CAS 4" square card.

Once again, I've used some of my favorite Bitty Big patterns, embossed polka dots, tiny stars and a bit of b/w twine to tie this trio together.
And..... now that I have a few little great-nephews, who LOVE to celebrate Halloween, it is fun to create with them in mind. I am quite sure that some sweet treats will also accompany these cards!

Rebecca Luminarias has designed another beautiful collection, full of great holiday sentiments and the loveliest star studded trees.
All of the new release items will be available through Papertrey Ink tomorrow October15th, at 10 pm ET.

Today's first project is just the tip of the holiday iceberg when it comes to Betsy's a-dorable Potbelly Collection (reindeer, penguin, santa).  The DT has created some really fabulous examples to inspire one and all... a true gifting extravaganza! I've kept things very CAS with a card in a Pure Poppy/Classic Craft/Cocoa Bean color combination, with a few little accents from Winter Woolens (heart, mittens, sentiment) and Traveler's Journal: December (snowflake die).

My second card is another clean and simple card...... lots of contrast in this Smokey Shadow and white combination, with a pop of Simply Chartreuse. The little shaker tree is filled with sparkle-y silver and gold stars and sequins!

The Bitty Big: Smokey Shadow stripe is layered on a simple white Scallop Stackers: Medium base, with a Twinkling Trees/Winter Woolens sentiment combination and a snippet of b/w twine.

Have a wonderful day!!

Papertrey Ink October Release - Day Four!

winter window + blooming amaryllis
+ say it simply: merry & bright

There's SO much more Papertrey Ink October inspiration on view today as we present Lizzie Jones' amazingly detailed Winter Window collection......allowing you to create your own little winter vignette. In addition, Dawn McVey has designed the newest Say It Simply: Merry & Bright die AND the most lovely Blooming Amaryllis stamps and dies - a beautiful multi-step floral and perfect sentiments, appropriate for the holiday season and beyond!

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on October 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

The beautiful Winter Window creates the most lovely scene.....with falling snow, icicles, petite deer, two-step tree, candles, bows and greenery you will find myriad ways to create your perfect vignette. The little floral spray from the new Fawn & Flora adds to this well lit arrangement. Oh, and a subtle hint of Aqua Mist ink blending for a bit of soft, falling snow.

Once again, I've returned to some of my favorites - Bitty Big patterning and a soft Aqua Mist/Ocean Tides/Simply Chartreuse color combination. The sentiment and tiny pinecones in Cocoa Bean add the perfect bit of contrast.

My second project includes Dawn's beautiful Blooming Amaryllis. Oh.... once you start with these amazing blooms you will not want to stop, and will feel the need to try them is every color combination. Here is a more traditional Pink Peony/Berry Sorbet/Pure Poppy amaryllis in combination with my favorite Simply Chartreuse.

I just may have gone a little pattern crazy, once again, but I'm loving the red/green color contrast with the perfect pops of white. Since I was happily stamping away, and creating multiple florals,  I thought that I'd make a coordinating tag too!

On this card I've used just a portion of the beautifully detailed Say It Simply: Merry and Bright sentiment die, which is given a little pop in Berry Sorbet (and a few tiny slivers of dimensional tape!).

Thanks so much for stopping by and helping to celebrate the October countdown! Be sure to hop on over to the Papertrey Ink Blog to check in on Amy, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa PMelissa B and Steph to see their fabulous holiday creations using some of the latest and greatest new October Papertrey products. Today I have the pleasure of highlighting both Glorious Globes: October and Words to Live By: Peace...... a lovely design combination! This first project, in a Berry Sorbet/Dark Indigo palette, includes all three of the newest little globes, including a peace sign, petite holiday wreath, a 'peace' globe and single flower. Oh, let's not forget the adorable little bird!

A pretty tag from the Made With Love Tags 2 dies creates the base for my trio of globes, with a little Bitty Big: Berry Sorbet and Dark Indigo and a snippet of Berry Sorbet grosgrain ribbon.

Project #2 includes four petite holiday wreaths, created with Glorious Globes: October in shades of Simply Chartreuse, Prairie Grass, Pinefeather  and Blueberry Sky. The new Shape Shifters: Square 3 is the perfect background for the little wreaths.

And doesn't the delicate 'peace' die create the perfect little sentiment banner?

Last up is a plethora of holiday tags, all crafted with the Paper & Package Essential dies in Classic Kraft. Lots of color, using a palette of Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet, Simply Chartreuse, Aqua Mist, Blueberry Sky and Dark Indigo. Most of the images are from Glorious Globes: October/Words to Live By: Peace..... with a bit of plaid from Sending Joy, poinsettias from Pleasing Envelopes and the glittered  'JOY' created from Headline Alphabet.

Papertrey Ink October Release - Day One!

sending Joy + folded pocket tag die
+ pleasing envelopes + Fawn & flora

Good morning and welcome to Papertrey Ink's October release- Day 1! Oh.... SO  MUCH more Holiday 2018 goodness to share with you, AND just wait until you see what the rest of the amazing Papertrey Ink team has created!
Today we have the pleasure of introducing Kimberly Crawford's beautiful Sending Joy stamp and die collection..... full of lovely holiday boughs and holly, clean sentiments and a pretty plaid. Next up is the oh-so-versatile Folded Pocket Tag Die, which is great for gift card giving, package/card decorating or myriad other creative projects! And then, oh my, there the a-mazing Pleasing Envelopes, designed by the talented Jennifer Campbell. There is no longer any excuse to leave those holiday card envelopes unadorned - so get ready to dress 'em up! The final reveal is Betsy Veldman's Fawn & Flora collection, an adorable multi-step fawn with pretty floral sprays and perfect sentiments.  Hope that you are all quite excited (as am I!) for a bit more holiday inspiration!

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on October 15th at 10PM ET, on the Papertrey Ink website.

The new Sending Joy and Folded Pocket Tag Die inspired a creative flurry to create a Holiday Advent banner..... full of color, courtesy of the Hawaiian Shores, Simply Chartreuse and Raspberry Fizz Bitty Big patterns and lots and lots of beautiful die cuts.

As you can see, this is still a work in progress, and I will keep adding and embellishing until I have all 25 days of holiday inspiration! The Folded Pocket Tags dies cut and go together so beautifully and have just enough room inside to tuck in a few sweets or to add a little tag (I used the window cut out from the Folded Pocket Tag die as my little tuck in tag) with your Advent activity. There are many advent calendar ideas out there (here's one), geared toward kids, teens, etc.!

I've strung/tied my little numbered tags onto some pretty pink/white twine so that each individual tag can be easily removed as the countdown to Christmas approaches.

My second project highlights the lovely Fawn & Flora! Oh..... this little deer is just the cutest. And Betsy's floral sprays create the perfect crown and/or accents to dress up this pretty fawn.

I've chosen a non-traditional color palette for this holiday card and love the soft blue/green/kraft combination. And those patterned papers, in Bitty Big Aqua Mist and Classic Kraft, create such pretty envelopes. I couldn't decide which envelope I liked better, so here are both! Preferences??

The lovely Bold Borders: Yuletide creates the perfect detailed background for the pretty little fawn.... along with some patterned papers from the Fairy Tale Christmas collection and a sentiment from the new Pleasing Envelopes.

Thank you so much for joining me today! Be sure to check out today's introductory post over on the Papertrey Ink blog and then check in on Amy, Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Kimberly, Laurie, Lizzie, Melissa Phillips, Melissa Bickford and Stephanie to see how they've used these great new October products. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow!
