Clearly, I've not followed this sketch too precisely - as I had to make room for that pretty, ink-blended Wplus9 'birthday' die cut. And..... those butterflies, from Right At Home's 'Fluttering By', were begging to be inked up in shades of red/coral/yellow, with bits of black as the perfect accent.
As always, there's a fabulous array of wonderfully designed creations from the DT crew, so be sure to take look and then join us at CTS #291. Can't wait to see what you've created!

Many thanks for taking a peek today...... we hope that you'll be playing along with us at CAS(E) this Sketch #291!

Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday!

PAPERTREY INK'S TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY!

Good morning, friends, and welcome to this week's Papertrey Ink Transformation Tuesday. This week I thought it would be fun to take a decidedly feminine project,  that I created waaaay back in April of 2012 for the Papertrey Ink Blog Hop,  and give it a Holiday 2018 makeover.

Here's my original card (click HERE to see the original post):

Yup..... surely a 'girly' card, with ribbon, rolled roses, pearls, polka dots and a bit of pink. However, it's been given a Holiday 2018 makeover with a pretty Berry Sorbet ribbon, snowflakes in shades of green and blue and a beautiful, texture-rich birch background.

The pretty be-ribboned arrangement at the base of my tag is enhanced with foliage and snowflakes from Seasonal Borders: Winter.  Although it's hard to see, the Spring Rain snowflakes are glittered up a bit, giving this holiday card a little added dimension.

I love the texture that the birch background provides, which can be achieved by stamping you own (Birch Background stamp) or by using the patterned papers from the Wonderland Patterned Paper Collection, as I've done here.

While I had all of those lovely snowflakes floating around I created one more Holiday 2018 card in shades of Soft Stone and Ocean Tides:

Many thanks for joining me for this edition of Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday! Perhaps, you'll be inspired to transform one of your own creations? And.... there's a chance to win a $25 PTI gift certificate!

P.S. - It 's time for lots of Autumn inspiration over at the Papertrey Ink September Blog Hop. Please join in and create your own pumpkin and plaid masterpiece!

CAS(E) this Sketch # 290

Welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #290....... and an amazing design created by Chrissy Larson! Such a perfectly crisp and clean look that can be interpreted in SO many ways. You'll surely find lots of inspiration from the DT, so please take a peek and then play along!
Clearly, I've not followed this sketch too precisely..... a mere design suggestion. However, this cute little kitty from Papertrey Ink's Kit 'N Caboodle was calling to me, along with the little 'happy' die from WPlus9, all in pretty shades of blue and green.
As always, there's a fabulous array of wonderfully designed creations from the DT crew, so be sure to take look and then join us at CTS #290. Can't wait to see what you've created!

Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday - 'Autumn Abundance'

It's time for Throwback Thursday over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, where we are highlighting the beautiful Autumn Abundance stamp set and coordinating dies.  Autumn Abundance includes three beautiful floral arrangements (sunflowers, mums and autumn leaves) and complimentary sentiments, which are perfect for all of your Fall-themed projects.

I have chosen to create with the sunflowers from Autumn Abundance..... some of my late summer  floral favorites! This clean and simple 5" square card started with a 4" center panel, which was embossed with the Linen & Canvas Impression Plate. The pretty pitcher of sunflowers was stamped, embossed with black embossing powder, loosely watercolored and die cut.

The beautiful patterns from Bitty Big: Harvest Gold provide a nice contrast to the Smokey Shadow layers and the perfectly simple sentiment, also from Autumn Abundance. I created a coordinating 5" envelope (using my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch) in Weathervane, lined in a Bitty Big: Harvest Gold plaid.

Please take a peek at the Papertrey Ink Blog, and at Heather and Dawn's amazing creations,  for more lovely Fall-themed inspiration!

+ Seasonal borders: Winter
+Poinsettia & pine mini kit

Hello and welcome Day FIVE of Papertrey Ink’s September release! We hope that you are enjoying all of the sneak peeks and projects that have been shown and are feeling truly inspired to create your Holiday 2018 ..... and then share what you love!
Today we have more new stamps and dies to share with you, including another addition to Betsy Veldman's amazing Seasonal Borders collection - the new Seasonal Borders: Winter. And there's more Jennifer Campbell-designed loveliness in the holiday themed stamps and dies of Penned Elegance: Christmas. Plus...... the beautifully detailed, perfectly coordinating Poinsettia & Pine Mini Kit!
All of the new release items will be available through Papertrey Ink tomorrow September 15th, at 10 pm ET.

Oh..... Jennifer Campbell's hand lettered designs are just beautiful! Your loved her Penned Elegance stamps/dies and now there's a special holiday edition in Penned Elegance: Christmas. SO many lovely sentiments -  I can't wait for your to see the full array of hand lettered holiday greetings!

The lovely sentiment takes center stage (as it should!) in this Spring Moss/Simply Chartreuse/Autumn Rose/Scarlett Jewel color combination. The greeting is framed with greenery and sparkle-y berries from the new Seasonal Borders: Winter and the new Sending Comfort. This clean and simple look is complimented by the Bitty Big: Spring Moss stripe and a crisp Scarlet Jewel layer.

Project(s) #2 includes just some of the elements from the A-MAZING Poinsettia & Pine Mini Kit! From dies to stamps to stencils to Nuvo Gloss drops to pre-printed tags and patterned paper.... this kit has it ALL!

I've chosen to pick up on the greens/pinks of one of the kit's color palettes, but there are also more masculine blue/gray and a pine bough kraft/green color combinations included in the kit. Oh my..... my few examples are just the tip of the proverbial iceberg!

The lovely multi-step poinsettia captured my heart and I just kept goin' with the pretty Sweet Blush/Pale Peony/Hibiscus Burst/Green Parakeet layering. I've die cut a little Gift Card Cozy to house  all of the petite tags and added a few leafy bits and a snippet of pink gingham ribbon.

Have a wonderful day!!

Papertrey Ink September Release - Day Four!

dashing through the snow collection
+glorious globes: september
+ Shape shifters: oval 3
+ say it simply: Holly jolly christmas

There's SO much more Papertrey Ink September inspiration on view today as we present Glorious Globes: September, from Lizzie Jones, Dawn McVey's Say It Simply: Holly Jolly Christmas die AND Betsy Veldman's newest Shape Shifters: Oval 3 and the fabulous Dashing Through the Snow Collection..... amazingly detailed train, sleigh and pick-up truck dies and coordinating stamps to dress up your 3D creations!

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on September 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Betsy has thought of everything when it comes to the Dashing Through The Snow collection! The dies that create the sleigh, train and pick-up truck have the cutest and most amazing details and are adorable as a 3D project or used on a card front. Oh.... just take a peek at what the Papertrey gals have created using these dies - you will thrilled at all of the possibilities!!

For my first project, I've glittered up a few strands of the new Corner Adorner: September twinkle lights and piled them into the back of my Hawaiian Shores pick-up. Santa's elves are ready to deliver some holiday spirit to your home!

Project #2 is a happy combination of Glorious Globes: September, Say It Simply: Holly Jolly Christmas and Shape Shifters: Oval 3. I've used the petite wreath from Glorious Globes in a Pure Poppy/Honey Nut/Prairie Grass, a color combination that is carried throughout.

The beautiful plaid from Shape Shifters: Oval 3 is placed behind the cut out frame of the Shape Shifters: Circle 2 die, with a bit of Honey Nut peeking out. Just a portion of the Holly Jolly Christmas dies is used here, along with a sparkle-y little holiday wreath, tied  up with a bit of rustic twine.

I am loving the Honey Nut plaid background, which picks up on the petite wooden stars and the Rustic Burlap impressed background behind the sentiment and wreath.

Papertrey Ink September Release - Day Three!

Yay!! It's Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's September 2018 release and there is much more to share with you! Betsy Veldman is introducing a new addition to the Words To Live By series in Words to Live By: Joyful. And Lizzie Jones has been quite busy ..... with the new Bold Borders: Yuletide, Corner Adorner: September and the fabulous Pierced Feature Frames: Oval!

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on September 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Today I have the pleasure of highlighting the new Bold Borders: Yuletide and the newest addition to the Words To Live By series...... Joyful!

I know that this 5" square card looks quite simple, but there is lots of detail and texture that really shows off all of the lovely intricacies of Bold Borders: Yuletide. I've die cut two of the frames and centered them on a 4 1/2" Vintage Cream base, filled in the open spaces with a stitched border detail die, centered my circular sentiment and added a double layer of Simply Chartreuse.

The beautiful sentiments/fonts of the new Words to Live By: Joyful take center stage with a stitched circle, embossed gold and the delicate 'joyful' die cut.

Papertrey Ink September Release - Day Two!

Winter fox + Text & texture: Wood slices
+ Sending comfort
+ Hinged gift card box: christmas window

Welcome to Papertrey Ink's September 2018 Release - Day 2! There are MANY more amazing new Papertrey goodies to sneak peek..... including Heather Nichols' adorable Winter Fox, Betsy Veldman's latest addition to the Text & Texture series, the rustic Text & Texture: Wood Slices, Kimberly Crawford's fabulous new Sending Comfort and Lizzie Jones' new addition to spice up your gift giving -  the new Hinged Gift Card Box: Christmas Window.
I know that you will be SO excited about all of these new additions to the Papertrey lineup and will be ready to start your holiday projects!

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on September 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Today, it is my privilege to highlight the new Text & Texture: Wood Slices and Winter Fox! I began my first project by stamping the Wood Slices background in Weathervane ink, using just one of the layers from the Text & Texture: Wood Slices background stamp set, which I then die cut using  a Noted: Simply Stitched A2 Vertical die, layered with Ocean Tides and mounted on a Weathervane card base.

Next, I stamped and die cut the trees and the fox from Winter Fox in subtle shades of Weathervane,  Soft Stone, Ocean Tides, Pinefeather and Enchanted Evening. The fox's cute little nose (and eyes) are highlighted using Nuvo Gloss in Ebony Black. This little winter scene is set using the new Pierced Feature Frames: Oval die, a few snowy layers and a petite sentiment banner from Winter Fox.

My second project includes a pair of peeking fox (foxes??), sending love and merry wishes! The Pure Poppy/Ocean Tides color combination allows the cute little critters to pop.

The Text & Texture: Wood Slices stamps a nicely framed background, which I trimmed down and layered in Pure Poppy. Then a few windows were cut, stamped with the little star-like images from Winter Fox and the addition of two fox in crisp black and white.

The layered card front was then popped up with dimensional tape and mounted on a Stamper's Select White card base. There's a sneak peek of another new September product in the pretty, Pure Poppy die cut 'Be Merry' sentiment!

My last project has lots goin' on........using a Dark Indigo/Terracotta Tile/White color combination. The Text & Texture: Wood Slices tag is stamped in Dark Indigo, with the log design providing the perfect placement for the petite Winter Fox 'peace on earth' and 'joy' sentiments.

The pieced card front, in Bitty Big: Dark Indigo stripes and polka dot embossed Terracotta Tile is die cut using the Noted: Pinked A2 Vertical die and provides the perfect backdrop for the layered tag.

This foxy tag gets a little dressing up with the addition of Terracotta Tile saddle-stitched ribbon, a snippet of navy twine (dyed with my Dark Indigo ink pad) and a few leaf-y bits from the Songbirds die.

So very glad that you stopped by today! There's SO much more to see from the Papertrey crew..... so be sure to hop on over to the Papertrey Ink Blog for more inspiration using these fabulous new September products.  Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!
