Fusion Card Challenge - 'Outdoor Room'

Welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge - 'Outdoor Room'The delicious inspiration photo is a wonderful starting point. But that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you try??
Both the lovely photo and the fabulous sketch  have helped to create this pretty, boho-chic 'Thank You' card! I was inspired by the muted colors of the soft pillows and the rustic wood textures of the tray/shelving. The pretty Altenew floral die serves as my circular focal point, with a few soft green sprigs and a pretty sentiment.
The DT has provided some amazing inspiration, so be sure to HOP on over and join the party!
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

We hope that you'll join in at the Fusion Card Challenge and will enjoy all of the loveliness from the DT and the always amazing gallery!

PROCEDURES:

1. Play with just the sketch challenge.
2. Play with just the inspiration photo challenge.
3. Or you can create FUSION by combining BOTH challenges into one card.
4. Use the challenge graphic and link back to Fusion in your post.

Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday - Enclosed: Cupcake

THROWBACK THURSDAY - enclosed: cupcake

Oh happy day....... it's time for Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday feature! This week Dawn, Lizzie and I will be sharing projects showcasing the amazing Enclosed: Cupcake stamps and dies.
If you're anything like me, you feel that there can never be enough celebrating........ especially when it come to birthdays! The sweet Enclosed: Cupcake stamp set, and coordinating die, will take you celebratory creations to the next level. Add your embellishment(s) - candles, sprinkles, flowers, sparkle-y bits, etc. for a bit of dimension and the 'cherry on top'!

The 'star' of the show is the amazing Enclosed: Cupcake die, which not only conveys a celebratory greeting, but is also a lovely focal point for your card front. I've done a bit of ink blending, in Raspberry Fizz and Berry Sorbet, for this more feminine birthday card and have used the same two colors, and the new Pierced Feature Frames dies, as the backdrop for my sparkle-y cupcake.

The crinoline flower was created using the Flowers Fusion #1 die. A tiny brad holds all of the pretty layers together ...... just fluff it up a bit for that added bit of dimension!

New Leaf is the perfect accent color...... and I've used it on the single candle and the tiny leaves behind the crinoline flower.

Many thanks for stopping in today..... hope that you've enjoyed this Throwback Thursday post! Please be sure to take a peek at the Papertrey Ink Blog and the beautifully created Enclosed: Cupcake confections from Dawn and Lizzie. Have a wonderful day and I will see you again soon!

Papertrey Ink July Release - Day Five!

 orchid expressions stamp/die collection +
Words to live by : inspire +
Botanical bounty sentiments +
scallop stackers: Medium and Large +
Bitty big: berry sorbet

Hello and welcome Day FIVE of Papertrey Ink’s July release! We hope that you are enjoying all of the sneak peeks and projects that have been shown and are feeling truly inspired to create..... and then share what you love!
Today we have more new stamps and dies to share with you, including Betsy Veldman's amazing Orchid Expressions stamp/die collection AND the lovely Words to Live By: Inspire collection. Jennifer Campbell brings us a fabulous new sentiment set, Botanical Bounty Sentiments, which compliments her previously released Botanical Bounty I and II stamp sets. In addition, Dawn McVey has designed two new dies - Scallop Stacker: Medium and Scallop Stacker: Large, a beautifully detailed duo with so many design possibilities!
All of the new release items will be available through Papertrey Ink tomorrow, JULY 15th, at 10 pm ET.

The beautiful Orchid Expressions florals were adapted from original watercolor artwork, thus giving these multi-step florals a hand-painted feel. The assembled orchid, including the pot, measures 2" wide and 4 3/4" tall, and is able to take center stage on your card front. However, for this first card, I've used the separate shorter stem as a pretty cluster..... tied with linen thread and highlighted with a few soft pink sequins.

The pretty Sweet Blush/Spring Moss combination and a beautiful sentiment from Words to Live By: Inspire evokes a soft and subtle feel, with a delicate background created by the new Bold Borders: Prism die.

My second project highlights the new Botanical Bounty Sentiments, the Scallop Stackers die (LARGE) and the newest Bitty Big color - Berry Sorbet. The beautiful Scallop Stackers dies can be cut apart, much like the Shape Shifter and Mix & Mat dies, so that they can be used together OR independently, to create different looks. For this project I've used the inner die from the larger Scallop Stacker die to create a scallop cut out that allows you to see what's behind.... in this case the pretty Berry Sorbet polka dots.

The beautiful brush lettering of Botanical Bounty Sentiments is the perfect compliment to the pretty blooms from Corner Adorner: February and sentiment from Keep It Simple: Wedding.

Lots of bright Berry Sorbet, in combination with New Leaf and a few lovely yellow accents (AND the new Pierced Feature Frame die) creates the perfect card for one of our Summer 2018 weddings!

Here are a few photos of the new Scallop Stackers. Hopefully, this will provide a better visual and will demonstrate the versatility of these new dies!

Below is the Scallop Stackers, LARGE.... all die cut from a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" base. Clockwise from top left:
1) Large Scallop Stacker die cut with both sections together
2) LG. base alone (dies have been cut apart)
3) LG. inner die alone (dies have been cut apart)
4) LG. inner die cut on card front

Below is the Scallop Stackers, MEDIUM...... all cut from a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2" base. Clockwise from top left:
1) Medium Scallop Stacker die cut with both sections together
2) Medium base alone (dies have been cut apart)
3) Medium inner die alone (dies have been cut apart)

Papertrey Ink July Release - Day Four!

ombre sentiments: Thinking of You +
pierced feature frames die collection +
glorious globes: July

There's LOTS more inspiration on view today as we present Dawn McVey's a-mazing Ombre Sentiments: Thinking of You. And... TWO designs from Lizzie Jones - the Pierced Feature Frames die collection and a new addition to the Glorious Globes series, Glorious Globes: July.

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on JULY 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Today I have the privilege of highlighting the new Glorious Globes: July, which coordinates with not only the Glorious Globes Basics stamp set and dies, but also the rest the fabulous Glorious Globes collection. The July globes feature lush, tropical foliage and a beautiful, multi-step floral globe.

With a Classic Kraft card base, diagonal stripes in the newest Bitty Big color and a few pretty, floral-y globes, this card is sure to bring a smile!

An abundance of texture/detail on this card......the Pitter Patter tag, Aqua Mist ribbon/coral-y twine, enamel dots and die cut sentiment help to provide lots of interest. Not to mention the lovely, multi-step globes, which are beautiful in SO many color combinations!

Project #2 includes a wonderful Weathervane 5 x 5.25" card base, a bit of background stamping, courtesy of the new Banners & Pennants stamps, and a pair of pretty, pastel-y globes.

I've added a bit of interest with a tiny tag from the Stemmed Statements stamp/die set and a sentiment from the new Banners & Pennants..... all tied up with a snippet of black twine. Isn't that flower-y globe just SO pretty in pink?

The petite Aqua Mist stripe and Sweet Blush strip add a bit of contrast against the Weathervane background and pick up on the globe colors.

And last, but certainly not least, is a stripped down version of Glorious Globes: July.......using a single Monstera image from Glorious Globes: July in a few bold blues and greens.

The new Pierced Feature Frames (which are sure to become a staple in my/your collection!) provide a bit of subtle detail and a beautiful background for the magnificent Monstera leaves and a simple sentiment from the new Yellow Sunshine stamp set.

The Vintage Cream card stock is a smooth and perfect base for the five, multi-hued leaves and a simple 'hello' sentiment, stamped in triplicate.

Well.... that's it for me today! Thanks so much for stopping by and helping to celebrate the JULY countdown. Be sure to hop on over to the Papertrey Ink Blog to check in on Betsy, Dawn, HeatherLaurieLizzieMelissa PMelissa B and Stephanie to see a plethora of fabulous creations using these great new July Papertrey products. Yay!! It's Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's July 2018 release and there is much more to share with you! The introductions begin Lizzie Jones' a-dorable Kit 'N Caboodle stamp and die collection. In addition, Lizzie presents her latest designs in the Sentiment Staples series..... All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on July 15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

There are three fluffs living in my house, Mowgli, Otto and Bella, so Kit 'N Caboodle in right up my kitty loving alley! Lizzie has designed THE cutest cat images with lots of layering options and some really great sentiments! I'm telling you..... these kitties have purr-sonality!

This little grey kitty combines purrfectly with the new Bitty Big color, and creates the cutest greeting.  Yup, another clean and simple one!

I love how you can layer the cat images to reflect your cat's purrsonality. Change up the color combo, or the positioning and your kitty reflects a whole different cattitude. OK. No more punny stuff.

Lots of bright and cool hues in this second project, featuring the new Sentiment Staples: Thinking of You AND the newest in the Shape Shifters series, Shape Shifters: Square 2. LOVE how you can interchange all of those tiny pieces for a totally different color look OR keep it clean and simple in a solid color.....beautiful both ways!

Pretty greens (Green Parakeet/New Leaf) and blues (Hawaiian Shores/Dark Indigo) help to create the bold color scheme on this 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch card.... with a simple greeting and a few pretty blooms from Botanical Bounty II.

Today I am highlighting the Banners & Pennants Stamps and coordinating Banner Die, which will create great cards, tags and banners but will also be perfect for your scrapbook pages, planners and Travelers's Journals!

Today's project is a little banner, which I've created with my DD in mind. She been off on a great adventure these last eight months and has been employed as a 'First Mate' on a 57 foot catamaran, sailing the US and British Virgin Islands. This nautical flag themed banner will eventually be framed and will make it's way to the boat, Tabula Rasa

Lots of bright and white, highlighting the beautiful stamps/sentiments from Banners & Pennants! The two nautical flags to the right and left of the center 'N/E/S/W' banner, represent the letters 'T' and 'R' to reflect the boat's name. The seafaring colors of Dark Indigo, Pure Poppy and Summer Sunrise just pop on the pure white banners!

So very glad that you stopped by! There's SO much more to see from the Papertrey crew..... so be sure to hop on over to the Papertrey Ink Blog for more inspiration using these fabulous new July products.  Have a great day and I'll see you tomorrow!
