CAS(E) this Sketch #214

Happy Thursday! Leigh has designed the most beautiful sketch for CTS #214. And just wait 'til you see all of the loveliness that the DT has created..... lots of pretty, color-full designs that will jump start your Spring designs!
Clearly, I had lots of flowers and some pretty pastels in mind with this sweet card. Aren't the Botanical Letters just so lovely in this pink/green/aqua combination? And I love how the beautiful linen texture of the pink/white pinstripe patterned paper and the Fresh Snow card stock softens the whole look.
We hope that you'll join in at CAS(E) this Sketch #214! Can't wait to see what you've envisioned/created!
P.S. - Please welcome GD, Andrea!

Papertrey Ink: Release In Review-March 2017

Spring has sprung and Papertrey Ink is celebrating with a final day of projects using the new March release products! Hopefully, everyone has enjoyed the new and innovative way that Papertrey has approached their March 2017 monthly release ...... with fantastic extra project photos, sneak peek videos, supply lists/ simple instructions for many of the lovely projects, and additional post-release inspiration from the 16th through the 20th of the month! It has certainly put me in the mood for a little frenzied crafting (and perhaps more than a bit of pinning and CASE-ing too!).
Anyway...... I am jumping in with a plethora of photos, highlighting many of the fabulous stamps and dies from the March 2017 release!

More March Release - Day 1:
Courage & Kindness/Courage & Kindness Die,
Year Of Psalms: February

Courage & Kindness includes a beautiful bouquet and additional blooms and leaves, which create an amazing floral arrangement in any color! Just take a peek at the tester blooms in Berry Sorbet and Hibiscus Burst all ready for my next flower-filled card! Oh, ....... and you musn't forget the inspirational and thoughtful sentiments that are included with Courage & Kindness! So lovely.

The Year of Psalms: February is perfect for celebrating the coming of Spring. I've used beautiful, soft watercolored blues and greens for this card, which is enhanced by the lovely Mix & Mat: Flourishes  die (love, love this three part frame die... together or separately).

More March  Release - Day 2:
Inflate + Celebrate,
Shadowed Sentiments

Inflate & Celebrate is a great mini set, which includes a variety of words and phrases in fantastic fonts! This creates a fabulous invitation OR celebration card..... masculine or feminine. Combined with the All Tied Up die, a bright orange balloon and a bit of rustic twine I'm all ready to celebrate any special occasion!

The Shadowed Sentiments stamp set is bold and beautiful in shades of green! Combined with the oh-so-versatile Multiply dies, black accents, a bit of twine, and the three-step sentiment, this card is appropriate for any celebration. I had way too much fun trying both the 'Hello' and 'It's Your Day' stamps in varying color combinations!

More March Release - Day 3:
So Sweet,
Carrot Box Die

So Sweet is THE cutest set...... just look at that adorable little bunny face and the variety of wonderful sentiments! This sweet springtime set had me reaching for the beautiful Pale Peony + White Basics patterned papers (in my very favorite polka dots!), Kraft card stock, and soft pinks and browns. Lots and lots of ideas for tags, Easter basket treats and baby cards are dancing in my head!

And......  this Carrot Box die coordinates not only with the So Sweet bunny stamps and dies, but with the Butterly Hope die too. So, so lovely with a Carrot box tag and some spring-y aquas! And those color-coordinated peanut M&M's? Yup, long gone!

More March Release - Day 4:
Beautiful Berries:Spring

Betsy has designed another amazing stamp and die set in Beautiful Berries: Spring.  There are so many possibilities with these lovely berry clusters and the perfect-for-any-occasion sentiment. And the easy to stamp, multi-step berries/greenery create THE most beautiful stamped backgrounds. Ahhh... love at first sight!

More March Release - Day 5:
Butterfly Hope/Butterfly Hope Cover Plate,
MIM:Bloom & Grow,
Flower Mandalas

I had SO much fun creating with Heather's Butterly Hope and the coordinating Butterfly Hope Cover Plate. Butterfly Hope has images that can be stamped in countless ways, and in endless colors. Soft and ethereal OR bold and bright, these lovely butterflies can do it all!

AND..... then there's the a-mazing MIM: Bloom & Grow! There are stamps, stencils, dies and the most amazing Bloom & Grow patterned papers. Swoon! Beautiful spring colors and that lovely linen texture. I could play with this set all day and still not exhaust all of the creative possibilities!

And, as my finale......Flower Mandalas 1, designed by the always a-mazing Kay Miller! Such a great concept (and so anxious to see what everyone else creates with these innovative dies!). Obviously, there was quite a lot of experimenting going on here, with an abundance of color and a bevy of beautiful die cut Flower Mandalas.

Well, that's all for now! Hopefully, your March 2017 Papertrey Ink stamps and dies are on their way to you OR in your creative hands at this very moment! Ahhhh..... the joy of new stamps, dies, papers, stencils, ribbon, etc.!

See more of the Papertrey Ink March 2017 release over at Nichole's blog, where you'll also find additional inspiration from the other DT members!

Happy First Day of Spring and many thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

Hi all! Yup, it's me again..... with a beautiful sketch for CTS #213, created by the fabulous Chrissy! The DT has provided an abundance of inspiration with an always amazing display of color and creative genius.
Many shades of gray here today, with a bit of texture and dimension (and my very favorite - polka dots!). My teammates have lots of lovely projects, and a fantastic way of creating varying designs from the very same sketch. SO, take a peek and play along with us at CAS(E) this Sketch#213!
P.S. - A warm welcome to our guest designer, Ceal!

The Fusion Challenge - 'Paris Rain'

Happy Thursday! It's time for the newest Fusion Card Challenge - 'Paris Rain'. I've created a card with the same colors and similar 'feel'..... but without Paris and without the rain! Instead, you'll find a card created with that fabulous photo in mind, two shades of gray (can you see just a bit of texture in the center panel?) and lots of bright and beautiful colors to create the dimensional little cityscape with this great die from Frantic Stamper.
And the DT has some amazing inspiration too. So...... HOP on over and join the party!
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

We hope that you'll join in at the Fusion Card Challenge and will enjoy all of the loveliness from the DT and the always amazing gallery!

Introducing Butterfly Hope and Cover Plate: Butterfly Hope

Good Morning! It's day five of the March Papertrey Ink countdown and I have a few projects to share with you today featuring the new Butterfly Hope stamp set and the coordinating Cover Plate: Butterfly Hope, which will be available at 10 pm EST on March15th in the Papertrey Ink store!

My first card highlights the beautiful butterflies in a rainbow of color!  Totally crisp and clean with a lovely sentiment from the brand new 'Ways To Say: Thank You' set.

Card #2 is another bright and colorful one! I've also used the lovely dotted frame from Mix & Mat: Flourishes (backed with a bit of True Black card stock) and added dimension to the white layer so those beautiful butterflies can take center stage!

And...... my third project uses a bit of white embossing and my Zig pens (well, actually, just ONE single pen/color). I must confess, I'm a little afraid of coloring (too much 'skill' involved!). I added an ombre-d 'hello', a vellum window and a perfect little sentiment from the soon-to-be-released Sweet Friend stamp set!

This is the beautiful Cover Plate: Butterfly Hope. SO very pretty in White Linen, Lavender Moon 'Hot Spots' patterned paper and vellum, and highlighted by the scalloped frame die from Shakers + Sprinkles! A tiny tag (with a sentiment from the new 'So Sweet' stamp set) and a bit of silver cording are the finishing touches.

Butterfly Hope has SO many, many design variations! Can you see how my mind works? I had to try 'em all. Just take a peek at that pretty little pile of butterflies all ready for future projects.  Oh.... and just look at the a-dorable butterfly/Easter tag!

If you would like more countdown inspiration, Nichole has a post bursting with beautiful projects! Wanda is also sharing some amazing projects created with the fabulous Make It Market Mini Kit: Bloom and Grow!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
