papertrey Ink's transformation tuesday!
Happy Tuesday and welcome to my very first Transformation Tuesday post! In case you've missed it, this is a relatively new Papertrey Ink feature that encourages us (and you!) to pull out those cards that didn’t necessarily turn out the way we had envisioned and give them a second try. The idea is to show a project transformed into something fresh and new. Here's the card I'm transforming today (and HERE's the original post):
Despite being fairly happy with my original card (which was inspired by/CASE-d Kristina Werner's beautiful design), and kind of liking the gray/yellow color combination, I was never completely satisfied with how it turned out and I felt that the card base was just a bit too dark. So.....a few changes were made to lighten up the new, and more feminine, card. Let's take a peek!
The same elements are still there (trio of 'candles', banner sentiment, die cut word, scallop), but this updated version has a bit more detail...... with lots of Vintage Cream, a pretty aqua/coral-y pink color combination and a hint of sparkle-y gold.
Oh, how I love me a good Target Dollar Spot, where I found these pretty, sparkled up (and polka dotted!) straws that were just begging to be used in a paper crafting project!
Many thanks for joining me today! And.... don't forget, you can play along too. Just link up your Transformation Tuesday project over on the
Papertrey Ink Blog for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate for the Papertrey Ink Store! Have a great day, everyone!
