CAS(E) this Sketch #310

Happy Thursday and welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #310! It's another beautiful one from N@Ali, that can be interpreted in so many ways. Be sure to take a peek at what the rest of the DT has come up with, as they are sure to inspire!
There were lots of little bits and pieces on my very messy crafting table and these pretty blue posies from The Stamp Market and a simple Papertrey sentiment jumped on to this crisp and clean striped and dotted card front.
We hope that you'll love this sketch and will be inspired to play along. Can't wait to see your addition to the CTS #310 gallery!
P.S. - A warm welcome to our fabulous GD, Lisa Elton!!

Fusion Card Challenge - 'Rainbow Cupcake'

Thanks for joining us for the newest Fusion Card Challenge - Rainbow Cupcake! The amazing inspiration photo is a wonderful starting point. But that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you try??
The beautiful photo and the great sketch helped with this design. I loved the sparkle-y rainbow, so that was my jumping off point! A 'neutral' gray base, some sprinkled up chunky letters and a crisp birthday sentiment all help to finish off this CAS card!
The DT has provided some amazing inspiration, so be sure to hop on over and join the party!
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

We hope that you'll join in at the Fusion Card Challenge and will enjoy all of the loveliness from the DT and the always amazing gallery!

Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday!

                             THROWBACK THURSDAY -
                             Embellished Elegance

It's time for the latest 'Throwback Thursday' feature over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, where we are highlighting the amazing Embellished Elegance. Whether you choose a simple, one layer design, or a something a bit more complex, Embellished Elegance is lovely in every way!

A classic beauty, Embellished Elegance epitomizes all that we've come to expect from Papertrey Ink's florals - with a pretty mix of foliage and an array of beautiful posies (not to mention a mix of lovely sentiments).

I've chosen to form the vine elements into a circular frame, with a few strategically placed flowers and sequins and a simple sentiment, all surrounding the lattice-like center. The Weathervane inked leaves and tendrils contrast with the simple white base and the petite flowers provide a bit of vibrant color in shades of Summer Sunrise, Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy. A simple banner-ed sentiment is the finishing touch. Oh...... and just a few clear sequins!

Be sure to take a peek at the projects from the original March 2014 introduction of Embellished Elegance, where you'll see some beautiful creations from Nichole and DT members of the past. I guarantee that you will be inspired all over again!

The beautiful posies from Together Forever Blooms are subbing in for the geometric shapes of this sketch - with a Rustic Cream base, a few more 'earthy' shades in Berry Sorbet/Summer Sunrise/Spring Moss, a simple birthday sentiment and a few subtle bits of sparkle!

Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday!

PAPERTREY INK'S TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY!

Good morning, friends, and welcome to Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday! I thought that is would be fun to take this CAS card, a fairly recent addition in my baby-themed card stash, and give it a little makeover!
Here's my original card (click HERE to see the original post):

And, here is the new version! When creating the original card, I had also played withe my Let's Fiesta florals in other color combinations, one of which you see here. My favorite polka dots are more subtle this time, but the basic design idea is the same - a pretty floral background, Vintage Cream Linen base and a simply framed 'welcome baby' sentiment.

This new color combination, in Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores and Simply Chartreuse is still soft and lovely. If there were just a few less flowers, this might almost be appropriate for a baby boy card!! And, oh...... how I love those beautiful, hand-lettered sentiments, which always take center stage (as they should)!
