Here's what we've been up to...... a new computer (yay!) and following this guy around so he doesn't crash into too much, can get his giant cone into his water and food, and general clean up duty.  More card photos coming soon!

This month's inspirational photo for the PTI September Blog Hop is much more graphic.... with SO many beautiful interpretations! This is a bit of a departure from my usual style and quite a challenge!.My desk is covered with tiny strips of brightly colored paper, tags and version 1,2,3, etc. (which to anyone but me would appear to be it's normal state)!

Make It Monday#31: Creating Backgrounds with Non-background Stamps

I really loved Dawn's example and used her inspirational card as a jumping off point. Although a bit difficult to see, I used the solid oval tulip image from PTI's Wishing You set (it was feeling a bit unloved!) as my background stamp and then embellished from there!

Papertrey Ink- June 2011 Blog Hop!

Once again, it is time for the Papertrey Blog Hop and there are some incredibly beautiful creations to inspire (which might necessitate some additional time in the craft cave!)!
And yes....... still using all of my tissue flowers (and still working on my novice photo skills!).

OMGoodness....... I don't think anyone wants to know how many photos I've taken of these TWO cards, how many Photoshop edits I've made OR how many times I've called out "Honey......can you help me?".

Make It Monday #18: Adding Texture with Tissue Paper

 

                                         

Ok.... so now that I've sort of/barely gotten the hang of this blogging thing I thought that I'd attempt another Make It Monday!

I love the idea of the faux silk look and a lovely tissue paper flower. However, having it all come together was not as easy as it sometimes is - guess that it just was not a mojo kinda day! Anyway, I wanted to do something different with the tissue paper background..... I covered my kraft piece with glue, attached PTI  rustic jute twine in a diamond pattern, covered the whole thing with my fancy tissue paper (a HUGE pack from my neighbor- left over from her wedding invitations 20+ years ago!), and added a little more of the fancy tissue paper for the flower and a little snippet of ribbon/lace. Et voila!
