Papertrey Ink STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017!!

Happy Fri-yay and welcome to Papertrey Ink's big STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017! There's SO MUCH going on during this extended, three-day extravaganza......a weekend full of inspiring projects, an abundance of challenges, videos, guest artists, prizes, AND the chance to earn the SAF exclusive stamp set, Ever So Much!

I am pleased to be presenting my 'Cotton' project, representing the traditional Second Anniversary gift. I've used crinoline, usually made of cotton or linen, for my lavender sachet. This fabric not only accepts colors well (PTI ink pads or re-inkers and Copic markers) but also cuts beautifully when using the Papertrey dies. The crinoline has such great body that it can even be trimmed with your paper cutter!
P.S. - I found the crinoline at my favorite LSS, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff, BUT it can also be found at JoAnns.... it was located in the 'utility fabrics' section. And, a little goes a long way!

Hopefully, you will excuse my newbie-ness and my fumbling through my very first (EVER!) video.Yup, all in one take. Jeez, did ya' hear me say 'parakeet pete' instead of 'Green Parakeet'? Gah!

Although there may be a bit less demonstrating in my video (and a whole lot more talking!), I have faith that all of you will all see the beauty in all of the vibrantly colored florals and leaves and will give this challenge a try! Put those pretty petals on anything and everything...... banners, tags, cards, favor boxes, etc.

Many thanks for joining me tonight! Be sure to follow along this weekend and PLAY along with any/all of the incredible challenges that the STAMP-A-FAIRE event inspires. Nichole's blog is just jam-packed with activities..... and there's lots of time to play along (as a reminder, you will have until 7 am ET, Thursday, August 31st to add your links to any of the challenges/lists to be eligible to win!)

Loved the parakeet Pete mistake. Laughed out loud. I think I have most likely seen you at BSS before. Seems like I am there at least once a week(I wish)! I have been wanting to try and make sachets, so thank you. Just haven't gotten around to it. I have lavender growing in my back yard so that helps too. Thanks for your first video, it was great!! Keep making them! See you around neighbor, I'm in Cheektowaga. :)

Great video, Michelle, and congrats on your very first one! Love your project and your attention to detail. What an awesome gift idea as everyone could use beautiful packets of sachet!

Ooooh, I love 'take 2'! Your flowers are gorgeous! And I looked all over for crinoline and couldn't find it. Guess I waited too long to look. But I loved your post and video. Followed your lead and made a lavender sachet from a vintage hankie. Thank you!
