More Papertrey Ink Release - MIM Mini Kit: HalloweenHugs AND Wicked Elixir

Good morning and a happy Fri-yay! Welcome back for another day of inspiration featuring the new Papertrey Ink August release! Today I'm sharing a couple of projects featuring Lizzie's Wicked Elixir and Betsy Veldman's newest, most fab-boo-lous MIM Mini Kit: Halloween Hugs, which includes an abundance of stamps and die AND an amazing patterned paper collection!

First up is a Halloween card - featuring Wicked Elixir, and a perfect sentiment from the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set. Lots of bright orange, a bit of black and the addition of vellum (with the dimensional tape hidden behind the little labels!) makes for an amazing holiday greeting.

AND...... now I've stepped away from the Halloween colors and theme. Although Betsy's wonderful MIM Mini Kit is appropriately named Halloween Hugs I have some non-Halloween tags created from this great kit. Go figure. But, hugs are great for other times too!

I started playing with the Halloween kitties and before I knew what was happening, I had three pretty kitty tags ready to attach to a gift bag or to add to a card. Just look at that adorable little 'Hugs' die! I even envisioned these as a baby girl or boy card, depending on the paper/bow color.....

CAS(E) this Sketch #235

Happy Thursday and welcome to CTS #235! Chrissy has created a lover-ly, graphic sketch as inspiration. And..... just wait 'til you see all of the beauties from the DT. Lots of great color and fabulous variations in design!
My original card for this sketch can be seen here. A few of the comments regarding this card asked if I'd stamped the black lines/pattern using Papertrey Ink's Harvest Sunflower stems.  I had not.....so thought that perhaps I could/should give this a try on my CTS #235 take two!
Although a quite a bit more subtle than card #1, this one incorporates my favorite navy with a bit of green and cream.
We hope that you'll find that this sketch begets a bit of creative exploration and will join in at CAS(E) this Sketch #235!

Fusion Card Challenge - 'Black and Orange Stationery'

Happy Thursday and welcome to the newest Fusion Challenge- 'Black and Orange Stationery'. The amazing inspiration photo is a great starting point. But.... that sketch is pretty great too! So which will  you try??   

Both the lovely photo and the fabulous sketch  have helped to create this card, with lots of bright oranges accented with black and white. And... the embossed 'Thankful' sentiment is the perfect accent!

More Papertrey Ink Release - Beautiful Berries: Autumn and Sunflower Harvest

Welcome to day ONE of Papertrey Ink's August post-release celebration! I am excited to present additional inspiration for Beautiful Berries: Autumn AND Sunflower Harvest- two amazing stamp sets (oh, and dies too!) that are chock full of fantastic fall-inspired floral images and a plethora of perfect sentiments.

The lovely Brushed Off: Circle die (large) helps to create a soft green ink-blended background for the Beautiful Berries: Autumn flowers, and Keep It Simple: Blessed adds the perfect sentiment. Oh...... Beautiful Berries: Autumn produces the most lovely florals and any/all color combinations are just amazing! Clearly, I may have gotten a bit carried away with this design and created a few more in a pretty Summer Sunrise/Harvest Gold/Orange Zest color combo (see below). 

And..... an additional trio of ombre inspired 4.5" note cards.

The Sunflower Harvest set creates beautiful floral multi-step images (in four sizes!), which can also be stamped in a never ending combination of hues. Here's a trio of the small sunflowers (1 3/8") in Summer Sunrise and Pure Poppy with lots of white and a bit of contrasting black.  I cut slim strips of black card stock, in varying widths, to create the 'plaid' patterning .... but the inked up stems from Sunflower Harvest could achieve a similar look!

Papertrey Ink Feature- Kind Of Corny, Year of Psalms: August

Good morning and welcome to Day 2 of the AUGUST Paptertrey Ink countdown! I have the pleasure of introducing TWO brand new stamp sets, Kind Of Corny and Year of Psalms: August, both designed by the amazing Betsy Veldman!
Kind of Corny is full of autumnal inspiration.... with two multi-step corn images (single and trio) and an abundance of beautiful sentiments (not to mention the pretty two-step bow and swirl-y bracket)! And.... the lovely Year of Psalms: August has two amazing verses in a beautiful font combination.

All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on August 15th, 10 PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

Lots of beautiful white space and lovely, fall-isa colors ..... highlighting the fun-to-make multi-step Indian corn! 

Here's my faux sunflower (created with the tops of the corn trio), surrounding that lovely verse. The little 'and' is popped up for a bit of added dimension. Oh, and did you notice those perfect b/w stripes? Yay! That's from a brand new paper pack, 'Bitty Big: True Black. Think stripes, plaids, polka dots.......

And.... just take a peek at all of those beautiful autumn inspired colors. A quick blend of yellow/gold/orange, some white embossing and the perfect little sentiment (from the new Keep It Simple: Blessed) help to create this quick, CAS card!

Oh, how I love these Concord & 9th flower stamps, not to mention the fantastic woodgrain! The rustic twine is the additional bit of texture.
