12 Kits Guest Designer-January 2014!

I was beyond excited to learn that I would be the 12 Kits of Occasions guest designer for January! Sharron Gregory put together an amazing kit with an "I Think I Love You" theme (the Partridge Family song is running through my head!) - perfect for your Valentine sweetie or any loved one. The kit was chock full of so many love-ly elements, and I have many other cards/projects in the works on my messy craft desk! I can't wait to see all of the other happy heart creations!

CAS(E) this Sketch #62

Hi all! I am back with a new sketch, CTS #62, by the ever-so-lovely Chrissy Larson! AND….. joining us this week at CAS(E) this Sketch as guest designer is the Amy Kolling from Stamp-n-Paradise (one of my very favorite blogs to visit for oodles of inspiration)!
I used a few bits from some of my newest acquisitions- the SSS monthly kit and Sweet Stamp Shop (just THE cutest stamps ever)!
We hope that you'll join in the fun!

CAS(E) this Sketch #60

It's bright and sunny, if a bit chilly, here in NY.  I so hope that you'll join in and make something bee-u-ti-ful for CTS #60..... a sketch by Sam Simpson! AND a warm welcome to our guest designer, the talented Paul Browning!

This card ended up being way less CAS than I'd hoped (deemed "too busy" by my graphic design major daughter)... guess my mind was goin' in too many directions at once! But I love any florals so will definitely give this sketch another, more simple, go.

CAS(E) this Sketch #59

Welcome 2014! And welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #59! Hope that everyone had a lovely holiday..... full of family, fun, food, napping, lots of movies, and a bit of creative time. Yes, that is my kinda holiday. Of course, I did not make much headway in cleaning up the craft area (too busy making more tags and preparing for the family party!). However, once the two college kids return to school,  I will really get down to business!

We hope that you'll join us in creating for our first challenge of the New Year... a first sketch for CTS by the talented Leigh Penner!

I took quite a few liberties with this sketch (i.e. no feathers, flipped around, etc.). I stamped with CAS-ual Fridays "Beanstalks" and colored with my (clearly) infrequently used Copics!

CAS(E) this Sketch #58

Oh my, time (and the wrapping paper) is a flyin'!! BUT we are hoping that you can squeeze in some creative card making over the holidays and play along at CAS(E) this  Sketch #58. This challenge runs through the 9th of January 2014, thus allowing three weeks of leisurely crafting. Also, please welcome Miss Sage into the spotlight....our latest (and youngest!) guest designer! Great job Sage!
Me? I'll be organizing my craft space and then, hopefully, making more of a mess, just for the fun of it all!
Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday and a joyous New Year!

CAS(E) this Sketch #57

Welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #57! We hope that you'll join in, even though this may be THE busiest time of the year for many! Oh, and I haven't even begun to assemble our holiday photo cards. Ahh, plenty of time!
This is not your traditionally hued holiday card. I wanted to use some of my SSS monthly kit items (which have been sorely neglected of late) and chose some soft, natural colors.
Please take a peek at CTS#57 ( Joni's very first sketch.... woo hoo!) and play along!

CAS(E) this Sketch #56

Hi all and welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #56! Hope that everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving! We had a relaxing time..... lots of food, a little shopping, and alot of family time. That's how it should be, right? I also had the pleasure of meeting Chrissy Larson (live and in person!), her three lovely boys, and very nice husband. I so appreciated that they took a bit of time out from their 1,000 mile trip to stop at our home and talk crafts and family (and have a few cookies)!
Please join in the fun at CTS #56! Be sure to link up your card(s) by Thursday, December 12th!

Although it's very difficult to appreciate the dimension of this card (because I'm such a wonderful photographer... NOT!), the triangular  panel on the left is mounted on foam tape, with strips of color behind the die cut dots and edged in black. Oh so much better IRL.
