The Fusion Card Challenge - 'Thank you'

Happy Thursday..... and welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge, 'Thank You'!! The inspiration photo is quite adorable, with it's happy, flower-covered canine friend....but that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you choose as your inspiration?

My project, taking inspiration from both the photo and the sketch, focuses on the petite pup and the beautifully hued florals. This mini slimline card includes my favorite polka dots, a bit of scallop/stitching detail and a simple sentiment. A few pink jewels are the finishing touches!

Happy Thursday..... and welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge, 'Poppies'!! The inspiration photo is quite lovely, with it's soothing floral vignette....but that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you choose as your inspiration?

My project, taking inspiration from the photo, focuses on the creamy shiplap background, the beautifully hued florals (loving the sage/coral/yellow color combo!) and the lovely vintage-y pitcher/watering can.....with just a few teeny tiny pearls for added interest.  A postage frame and the perfect sentiment are the finishing touches on this CAS card.

Waffleflower March 2021 Week 3 Challenge 'Watercolor Florals'

 I am delighted to be joining Waffleflower Design Team member, Jeanne,  and Guest Designer, Karen, in creating for Waffleflower's new weekly challenge! The WEEK 3 challenge focuses on watercolored florals.... which makes me SO very happy, as we are finally begin to see signs of spring in Western NY (I heard the birds chirping this morning)!! 

The newest Waffle Flower Challenge begins on Friday, 3/19/21, and runs through Thursday, 3/25/21! For this week's challenge,  Jeanne, Karen and I will be sharing our creations on 3 platforms: Blog, Instagram (#wfc2103w3) and Facebook! Check out the details below:

My take on the  watercolored florals challenge includes an array of pretty posies (it seems that SPRING is finally in the air!!).  I took my CAS card one step further by creating a hand painted plaid background in a soft aqua/teal. The spring-hued blooms and greenery are stamped/embossed in white and watercolored with Distress inks. After a bit of quick fussy cutting, I added a few finishing touches……the pretty enamel dots, stitched rectangle frame and a beautiful ‘Oh happy day’ sentiment.

Fusion Card Challenge - 'Green'

Welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge, 'Green'!! The inspiration photo is lovely, in an array of beautiful green hues....but that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you choose as your inspiration?

My project, taking inspiration from the sketch and the photo, focuses on the soft greens, with a bit of texture/dimension from the balloon bouquet and a few little sparkle-y additions to each balloon.  A strip of patterned paper and a birthday sentiment are the finishing touches on this CAS birthday greeting.

My project, taking inspiration from the sketch and the photo, focuses on the soft pastels, with a bit of texture and sparkle from the diamond-glittered pieced stripes and the fanciful flying unicorn. A few bright white clouds and a crisp sentiment are the finishing touches on this CAS birthday greeting.

Fusion Card Challenge - 'Valentine Gnome'

Happy Thursday and welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge, 'Valentine Gnome'!! The cozy inspiration photo is all about the wood tones, gnomes and lovely fonts....but that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you choose as your inspiration?

My project, taking inspiration from the sketch and the photo, focuses on the soft cream/black color combination and texture. And...sadly, there are still no gnomes in the house!  So, I played up the 'white space', adding a stamped gingham background, a bit of texture and dimension using a few embossing patterns, a Rae Dunn-like sentiment and a snippet of black twine.
