Papertrey Ink's transformation tuesday!

Good morning, friends, and welcome to this week's Papertrey Ink Transformation Tuesday. This week I thought it would be fun to take bold/bright/graphic project that I created waaaay back in May of 2012 and give it a softer, more feminine makeover.

Although I still love the original Simply Chartreuse/Pure Black combination, I thought that I'd lighten things up a bit by using a palette of Pale Peony and Smokey Shadow. Clearly, this 4.75" square card remains very CAS, with a pretty Flower Power bloom as the focal point.

Once again, I've used a coordinating combination of patterned papers.... this time from the Bitty Big: Pale Peony collection. The sweet sentiment is from Kimberly Crawford's Envelope Envy Kit.

The floral focal point is a pretty bloom from the Flower Power set and is stamped in Smokey Shadow.  I've added a bit of dimensional tape in order to highlight this little polka dotted flower.

Happy Saturday and welcome to a bit more of Papertrey Ink’s June release! Today we are highlighting the newest designs from the oh-so-talented Kimberly Crawford: the Bold Basics stamp set and the coordinating Color Block Stencils!
In addition, Papertrey Ink is introducing the third in their Summer promotion series - 'Summer Perks'!  With today's Bold Basics/Color Block Stencils release you can purchase this beautiful bundle as part of this special promotion (for a limited time)! 

Now..... on to the projects! The first is bright and bold, using beautiful yellows, greens, corals and pinks to stencil and create this petite 4.75" card. The sentiments from the Bold Basics stamp set are so versatile and cover all of the bases - birthday, anniversary, thinking of you, etc. and could be considered a great basic 'kit' (much like the Simple Impressions: Celebrations)! AND there's a trio of little stars to accent those clean and simple sentiments.

My second project is a little bit more feminine, using the great diamond image - stamped in Pure Poppy and Berry Sorbet, creating a stylish argyle pattern. The pretty blooms from Botanical Bounty II and the perfect sentiment, embossed in white, finish off this lovely 'thank you' card. 

Project #3 incorporates the single triangle stencil, ink blended in a blue/green/yellow palette to create this simple 'I Love You' greeting (with a tiny Spring Rain heart). 

           

And here are a few more miscellaneous projects using the Bold Basics stamps and Color Block stencils! Bright, modern and graphic OR soft and pretty...... Kimberly's designs can do it all!

The 12 Kits of Occasions - June 2018

Welcome to the 12 Kits of Occasions! Michele Ferguson is our hostess with the most-est for June and she has put together a beautiful 'Sum Sum Summertime' themed kit.... with a nod to those lovely languid months, when we would all like to relax at the nearest pool or beach, collect a few pretty shells or, perhaps, catch a star spangled parade! With an array of pretty patterned papers in some of my favorite dots and stripes, adorable beach kids (and lady!) and even a marching parade, you are sure to get all of those summertime feels.

The pretty, scrolling berry design creates a lovely frame for the cute 'hello there' sentiment, and the yellow/lavender color combo in just perfect for this first day of summer. So.... get out there and enjoy your summer solstice 2018 (and, perhaps, create a card for CTS #277)!

Fusion Card Challenge - 'Primary Bookcase'

Welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge - Primary Bookcase. The happy and bright inspiration photo is a wonderful starting point. But that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you try??
The vibrant hues of the fabulous photo helped to create this card.... with a beautiful stack of books in red, orange, green and blue, a petite globe and a few tiny, wooden stars. And, a beautifully lettered sentiment is the finishing touch.
The DT has provided some amazing inspiration, so be sure to HOP on over and join the party!
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

A few soft pink sequins sparkle up the card front and help to highlight the simple sentiment from With All My Heart and the beautiful 'LOVE' die. Carnation Pink Nuvo gloss dots accent the petite flower centers.
