The 12 Kits of Occasions - May 2017

Welcome to The 12 Kits of Occasions! Our May 2017 kit, "Happiness is Homemade', comes by way of our hostess-with-the-mostest, Birgit! This kit pays homage to Birgit's late mother, who shared her love of family through homemade meals and crafts (and.....now we all know where Birgit gets her crafting talents!). It's full of amazing patterned papers, and a plethora of stamped/die cut images from Papertrey Ink, Stampingbella, Altenew, My Creative Time and much more. This 'homemade' themed kit has SO many fantastic ingredients, all of which can be found HERE on the 12 Kits blog!
I've only touched the surface of this fabulous kit, and have a bit more up my sleeve (especially after seeing all of the inspiration from my teammates).

The Fusion Card Challenge - 'Chalkboard Baking'

Welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge - 'Chalkboard Baking'. A beautiful photo inspiration (are you craving a cupcake/cookie or two right about now?) and the perfect sketch is a fabulous combination. What more could one ask for?
I've chosen a fusion of sketch and photo, with a textured black background, a few tiny baking necessities (which have been embossed, watercolored and fussy cut) and the perfect sentiment. Oh, yes, I've rotated the sketch just a bit too!
The DT has some amazing inspiration! So...... be sure to HOP on over and join the party.
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

Just a little bit more May inspiration from Papertrey Ink, highlighting two additional sets, Year of Psalms: May and Especially You!

A pretty, Spring-y color combination using Green Parakeet, Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise. Ahh... love those polka dots (both big and small!)

The beautiful Especially You has THE most amazing flowers and gorgeous sentiments/fonts! I played with my Distress inks a bit and can envision an entire bouquet of colorful blooms in my future!

More Papertrey Ink May Release - Heart & Sole

It's Day 3 of Papertrey Ink's May 2017 inspiration celebration! Today I'm sharing a project made with the new Heart & Sole set. This is an absolutely ingenious collection of stamps and dies (as are all of Betsy's creations!), with an abundance of mix and match images and sentiments. 
Although Heart & Sole is geared toward the guys in your life, there are more girl-y options too. Just take a peek at the pretty color options that Dawn has created. It almost makes one want to take a little jog. Almost.

I've created a more masculine birthday card, using Stormy Sea, Enchanted Evening and Dark Chocolate. A bit of dimension on the boots and that fabulous 'DAD' die and my CAS card was complete!

More Papertey Ink May Release - Ivy & Bloom, Ways to Say: With Sympathy

All of the new Papertrey May 2017 stamps and dies (and one a-mazing Make It Market Mini Kit-'Out Of This World'!) are now available in the Papertrey Ink store! Hopefully, you've discovered a few 'must haves' and have had a chance to add a few things to your cart.
Be sure to be on the lookout for SO much more more in the way of post-release inspiration .... from the 16th through the 20th of the month.
Today I am sharing a few projects using the lovely Ways to Say: With Sympathy stamp set and Ivy & Bloom (stamp set and coordinating dies)!

Ways to Say: With Sympathy has so many lovely sentiments to express your comforting support and sympathy, and looks quite perfect with the delicate blooms from Ivy & Bloom in this soft Vintage Cream/Sweet Blush color combination.

And, oh my .....  Ivy & Bloom includes some of the loveliest little florals and the prettiest dies, including a fabulously full ivy border that will cover an A2 card just beautifully. Here I've used some of the medium ivy clusters (x5) to form an oval wreath and have popped up and tucked in a few of the Berry Sorbet/Pure Poppy flowers to frame the perfect birthday sentiment.
