I am SO very excited to be playing along with the lovely and oh-so-talented ladies at the 12 Kits of Occasions challenge! I've been invited by August's hostess-with-the most-est Michele Ferguson (my CAS(E) this Sketch teamie/online crafting bff!) to create along with the fabulous DT.
August's theme is A Spoon Full of Sugar.... with get well themed sentiments (a few penned by Michele herself!), beautiful Heidi Swapp papers, and a plethora of stamped images. As always, the kit contains many, many beautiful elements - all designed to create cards/projects conveying your heartfelt get well wishes.
Just take a peek at what the 12 Kits DesignTeam has created .... you'll be sure to be inspired!
Many thanks to Michele, and the rest of the 12 Kits of Occasions DT, for allowing me to join in this month!
P.S. - There was a 'secret ingredient" in this month's kit! Although I did not guess correctly, I did use those cute little cherries!
Whoo hoo.... it's time for Papertrey Ink's Stamp-A-Faire! I will try desperately to keep up with the challenges (although not in real time). Always SO fun to play along!
First up is the Bridal Challenge, which requires an all white creation, with the exception of a neutral ink. And.....I am already breaking rules as I've used some teeny, tiny gray pearls (clearly I am not a careful reader!). But dontcha just love all of that white? Lots and lots of beautiful, lovely, amazing examples in the gallery too!
Happy Thursday and welcome to CAS(E) this Sketch #138! Chrissy's beautiful sketch is sure to inspire!
I'm loving all of the fabulous white space, the diagonal stripe, the few pops of color and a fantastic little 'Baby' die from L'il Inkers! Not too much stamping going on here. Yup..... all dies, pp and color. Oh, and a little baby love!
Make sure to carve out a little creative time and join in at CTS #138!
It's that time again, so prepare to be amazed by Papertrey's August Blog Hop Challenge (and gallery)! The lovely inspiration photo is full of vibrant color, which challenged me to incorporate those beautiful ombre hues and a bit of dimension/texture. Amazingly, this is a one layer card.....if you don't count the twine and/or button!
I was clearly inspired by Laurie Willison's card, and used the same layout with just a few alterations. I just love the oh-so-versatile Fall Florals stamps set!
Many thanks for visiting today, and enjoy the HOP!
Here's a lovely sketch from N@Ali that will surely inspire! And....the DT has created some really beautiful projects
(don't I say that every week?).
I've kept things simple with PTI's Songbirds leaf-y die and Soft Stone card stock and a Paper Smooches sentiment and flower die. Just in case anyone was noticing - I edited this card a bit by changing out the bg (striped vs. polka dots) and added one more little leaf to balance things out. Perhaps it does help to look at your card through the camera's lens.
Please visit CAS(E) this Sketch #137 and play along! You have until Thursday, August 27th to link up your card.
Ashley's challenge for PTI's MIM #221 is to mask a sentiment! Since my Papertrey Shakers & Sprinkles MIM Kit hasn't received nearly enough love and attention I stamped this bold sentiment, sprinkled lots of confetti (and color) around and added a bit of dimension and sparkle with the Tsukineko Shimmer Pico Embellisher. There's so much that you could do with this technique, and I anxious to try, try again! Lots of lovely examples in the MIM #221 gallery too!
Happy Thursday! I am so excited, and honored, to be featured over at the Paper Crafter's Library today! LOVE this blog... where you'll find tutorials, artist/designer spotlights, trend reports and lots of lovely giveaways! What's not to love?
My project for today features a beautiful Peace Card Band die from Frantic Stamper, which creates an amazingly CAS holiday card with very little effort. I've added some pretty patterned paper, a simple sentiment and a few little sprigs of holly. I know, it is only August! But, in my opinion, one can never be too far ahead of the game where holiday prep and/or card making is concerned. Just ask me - the family photo taking/present buying/gift wrapping/house decorating procrastinator. Maybe 2015 will be my year to have it all done ahead of schedule! One can only hope.....
Thanks for taking a peek. Be sure to stop in at Paper Crafter's Library, where you will enjoy an abundance of creative inspiration!
What an amazing sketch Leigh has created for CTS #136 - so perfectly CAS. And.... take a peek at the DT inspiration, where you'll find lots of beautiful white space and amazing color!
I've definitely taken the crisp and clean route, with lots of white, pretty blues/greens, a simple sentiment and an amazing little die from Frantic Stamper that creates all of those terrific tiny triangles.
So what are you waitin' for? Come play along and create a card or project for CAS(E) this Sketch #136!
Wow.... just take a peek at N@Ali's beautiful sketch and all of the clever and creative projects from the DT!
It certainly will not surprise anyone .... more flowers (again). I've stamped the pretty black-eyed susans from Papertrey Ink's Flower Favorites, along with a sentiment from Flower Fusion #12.
Please play along - you have until Thursday, August 13th to link up your card! We can't wait to see what you've created for CAS(E) this Sketch #135!
