Papertrey Ink January Release - Day One!

Good morning and welcome to Papertrey Ink's January 2019 release - Day 1! Oh.... SO  MUCH more goodness to share with you, AND just wait until you see what the rest of the amazing Papertrey Ink team has created!

Today we have the pleasure of introducing two new designs from Lizzie Jones..... the latest Corner Adorner: January and another great design in the Nesting Basics collection - Nesting Basics: Pierced Ovals. Next up is Betsy Veldman's pretty Let's Fiesta - which also coordinates so beautifully with her new Shape Shifters: Square 4 dies! 

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on January 15th at 10PM ET, on the Papertrey Ink website.

I have the pleasure of introducing the new Corner Adorner: January stamps and dies..... a beautiful set, full of lovely sprinkles, to highlight your cards/tags/envelopes, and the perfect little

'celebrate' sentiment. There are two larger 'sprinkle' images, which create your corners, and two smaller images to fill in, or to use as a more subtle look.

I've complimented the Corner Adorner: January with shades of Soft Stone, Aqua Mist and Weathervane, and the balloons from Birthday Balloons stamp set/dies - all arranged on the Tag Sale : Quilted die. There's lots of silver embossing, with a snippet of silver twine and a few clear sequins to pump up the sparkle!

My second project highlights the beautiful Shape Shifters: Square 4 dies. Oh so pretty in any combination...... on these two cards I've utilized the two center dies, the center cut out and the delicate embossed frame, to show off the beautiful images/dies from the new Let's Fiesta! 

I've kept things very clean and simple, stamping the florals in shades of Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz and Green Parakeet.... all arranged in the adorable little two-step basket.

And..... because I could not keep playing with the new Let's Fiesta, one card became two! It's SO easy, and fun, to mix and match all of the beautiful elements!

My last project is, once again, a CAS example in two shades of pink. I've lined up the Shape Shifters: Square 4 die diagonally on my Hibiscus Burst card front, and made three passes with my die cutting machine. I then lined my card front in Raspberry Fizz for additional color (and support) and added two thin strips of Raspberry Fizz to frame my die cut images.

A simple tag (from Bite Size Tags) is stamped with just one of the pretty medallion images from Let's Fiesta, along with the appropriate sentiment (embossed in white)!

A few enamel dots, a little hot pink eyelet and a bit of pink/white twine finish of this CAS example.

CAS(E) this Sketch #303

Happy Thursday, and welcome to the very first CAS(E) this Sketch of 2019! It's a lovely one, courtesy of Donna Mikasa, and is a 'Retro' sketch from December of 2017. Please take a peek at the past, and current, creations from the DT for a bit of additional inspiration!
Lots of white space on this pretty gray/coral color combination, with a delicate little bird and sentiment from Altenew's 'Nature Snippets' and a soft stripe from the Concord & 9th 'Hooray' stamp set. Wouldn't this be pretty as a note set.... in an array of colors and greetings? I'm on it!

The 12 Kits of Occasions - December 2018

Welcome to The 12 Kits of Occasions! I am your hostess for this December 2018 kit and  have put together a pretty 'Periwinkle Party' kit with a wonderful array of florals, a-dorable little llamas, lovely sentiments and the cutest snuggly squirrel! And....you've most likely deduced that this lovely periwinkle-y shade is one of my favorites, which pairs so well with the coral hues-and a bit of gold sparkle!

Papertrey Ink's Throwback Thursday!

                    Shape Up Snowman ACCESSORIES

It's time for the latest 'Throwback Thursday' feature over on the Papertrey Ink Blog, where we are highlighting the amazing Shape Up Snowman Accessories Mini Stamp set and coordinating dies! This set allows you to add a bit of personality to your snowman, patterns and stripes, as well as other accessorizing.
Oh, how I love this cute little snowman....... he can fill up an entire card front or just peek out from hime circular frame! He (or she!) can be dressed up with a variety of colors, patterns, accessories or snowman smiles and is perfect for snowy greetings or winter-y birthdays/celebrations. So...... lets's build the perfect snowman creation!

There's lots of white and bright, with a Pure Poppy circular frame, accessories in Bitty Big: Pure Poppy, a simple, embossed sentiment from Warm & Fuzzy and a bit of texture in the diagonal patterning (created with a little assistance from my Score-Pal).

I've added a bit of interest to my snowman's expression....... a little sparkle to his carrot nose, a hint of ink blending on his rosy cheeks and dimension to his eyes and mouth using Nuvo drops in Ebony Black. Oh.... and then, those cute, fluffy, little pom-poms as the finishing touch!

Papertrey Ink Transformation Tuesday!

PAPERTREY INK'S TRANSFORMATION TUESDAY!

Good morning, friends, and welcome to Papertrey Ink's Transformation Tuesday! I thought that is would be fun to re-do this CAS card, which was created back in June of 2016 for a CAS(E) this Sketch challenge, and give it a little Valentine's Day makeover!

Here's my original card (click HERE to see the original post):

I loved the crisp red/aqua plaid, but wanted to soften things up by using the pretty Bitty Big: Pale Peony patterned papers. The embossed polka dots, stitched tag and lace-y Delicates die create a bit of texture....... while keeping the design very crisp, clean and simple. And there's still lots and lots of lovely white space!

I've used the Wine Tag #2 die as my 'banner' element.... and the pretty 'From the Heart' die cut, which is backed with the dainty Delicates die. A petite sentiment, from Sentiment Staples: I Love You is stamped in Weathervane. The banner is then adhered with dimensional tape and a petite, soft pink enamel dot is added, as a common element/finishing touch. 

 

I hope that you'll try using your own cards as inspiration! Follow the basic sketch of the card, use a similar color combination or repeat a card using the same stamped images...... just mix up the colors a little bit. You are your great source of creative inspiration. AND, if you do decide to play along, one randomly selected participant will win a $25 Papertrey Ink gift certificate!

Papertrey Ink December Release - Day Five!

Hello and welcome Day FIVE of Papertrey Ink’s December release! We hope that you are enjoying all of the sneak peeks and projects that have been shown and are feeling truly inspired to create ..... and then share what you love!

It's a Betsy Veldman kinda day and we have more new stamps and dies to share with you - the adorable Bear Hugs, You Make My Heart Soar AND the latest and greatest Shape Shifters die - Shape Shifters: Oval 4!! Aren't all of Betsy's new designs just fabulous??

All of the new stamp sets and products will be available to purchase on December     15th, 10PM ET, at Papertrey Ink.

My first card is a CAS design, highlighting that adorable three-step bear and the beautiful little bouquet. The lovely embossed arrows/oval image is just one portion of the new Shape Shifters: Oval 4 die..... so pretty on it's own or in combination with the outer heart frame and/or the center arrow/chevron shaped die cut.  

I retained a solid center on my card front so that that the bear, with his tiny bouquet, and the wonderful sentiment would be the focus.The flowers are colored with Zig markers and Koh-I-Noor pencils and dotted with a bit of yellow glitter. The 'HUGS' sentiment and bear are both adhered with a bit of dimensional tape, as is the tiny, tied up bouquet.

Project #2 has lots of white and bright and a lovely floating bouquet of pastel balloons in shades of Sweet Blush,Aqua Mist, Harvest Gold and Lilac Grace. The 'Love' die, from Bold Borders: Hearts  is complimented by sentiments/strings in Weathervane ink.

The pretty, tiny-heart details that Betsy has designed add the perfect accent to the balloon centers. I've also added a bit of sparkle with a few soft pink sequins and jewels.

Isn't that 'Love' die just so beautiful? I've stacked three of these delicate dies and ink blended in Sweet Blush....... complimenting the largest balloon and simple layering of this 3.75" x 6" card.
