CAS(E) this Sketch #237
Hi there and welcome to CTS #237 (and my second post for today)! Here's another lovely sketch from Chrissy. And, as always, the DT has come up with some really great designs.....that kinda have me thinking I should have another go at this sketch!
Some shades from the cooler end of the spectrum play nicely with the Smokey Shadows card base and 'hello' sentiment. The little blocks of color are all stamped/placed by eye, but perhaps I shoulda/coulda used my MISTI for more saturated/perfect inking. Oh well.... I had fun playing and experimenting!
We hope that you'll play along at CAS(E) this Sketch #237. Can't wait to see your creation in the CTS gallery!
Fusion Card Challenge - 'Glamping'
Happy Thursday and welcome to the newest Fusion Challenge- 'Glamping'. The amazing inspiration photo is a great starting point. But that sketch is pretty great too! So which will you try??
Both the lovely photo and the fabulous sketch have helped to create this card, with the a-dorable flora & fauna VW van subbing in for the little camper. Lots of pretty white, aqua and rosy red too. And that petite 'good times' sentiment.....gah!
The DT has some amazing inspiration! So...... be sure to HOP on over and join the party.
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

Papertrey Ink STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017!!
Happy Fri-yay and welcome to Papertrey Ink's big STAMP-A-FAIRE 2017! There's SO MUCH going on during this extended, three-day extravaganza......a weekend full of inspiring projects, an abundance of challenges, videos, guest artists, prizes, AND the chance to earn the SAF exclusive stamp set, Ever So Much!
I am pleased to be presenting my 'Cotton' project, representing the traditional Second Anniversary gift. I've used crinoline, usually made of cotton or linen, for my lavender sachet. This fabric not only accepts colors well (PTI ink pads or re-inkers and Copic markers) but also cuts beautifully when using the Papertrey dies. The crinoline has such great body that it can even be trimmed with your paper cutter!
P.S. - I found the crinoline at my favorite LSS, Buffalo Stamps and Stuff, BUT it can also be found at JoAnns.... it was located in the 'utility fabrics' section. And, a little goes a long way!
Hopefully, you will excuse my newbie-ness and my fumbling through my very first (EVER!) video.Yup, all in one take. Jeez, did ya' hear me say 'parakeet pete' instead of 'Green Parakeet'? Gah!
Although there may be a bit less demonstrating in my video (and a whole lot more talking!), I have faith that all of you will all see the beauty in all of the vibrantly colored florals and leaves and will give this challenge a try! Put those pretty petals on anything and everything...... banners, tags, cards, favor boxes, etc.
Many thanks for joining me tonight! Be sure to follow along this weekend and PLAY along with any/all of the incredible challenges that the STAMP-A-FAIRE event inspires. Nichole's blog is just jam-packed with activities..... and there's lots of time to play along (as a reminder, you will have until 7 am ET, Thursday, August 31st to add your links to any of the challenges/lists to be eligible to win!)

More Papertrey Ink Release- Hey Stacks, Stencil Basics:Dots
Happy Sunday and welcome to the fifth and final day of Papertrey Ink's August post-release celebration! We hope that you've enjoyed each and every added bit of inspiration. I know that I have, and I've also picked up some really fantastic ideas for using some of those fabulous August goodies.
Today's lovelies are Hey Stacks AND Stencil Basics: Dots, two stamps/stencils that are sure to become an integral part of your stamping arsenal. SO many great sentiments and graphic designs in Hey Stacks! And don't get me started on Stencil Basics: Dots. I would put polka dots on every single stamping project if I thought that it might be acceptable!

It doesn't get much more CAS than this, with bold and bright colors - stamped multiple times with my MISTI to get that nice, full saturation. I'm kind of liking the simplicity of this one (although it took a few tries to get this one right!).
Next up are the Stencil Basics: Dots, which come in two sizes. I've used the smaller dots here, which creates such great backgrounds. I can see many, many uses for this stencil in my future! And, once again, those lovely Sunflower Harvest florals, this time in pink.
Many thanks for taking a peek today, and for following along with all of the post-release celebration! Please be sure to pop on over to Nichole's blog where you'll find much more August inspiration and fabulous projects from the rest of the fabulous PTI crew! AND, AND...... looking forward to all of the STAMP-A-FAIRE festivities next weekend!! Whoo hoo!

More Papertrey Ink Release - MIM Mini Kit: HalloweenHugs AND Wicked Elixir
Good morning and a happy Fri-yay! Welcome back for another day of inspiration featuring the new Papertrey Ink August release! Today I'm sharing a couple of projects featuring Lizzie's Wicked Elixir and Betsy Veldman's newest, most fab-boo-lous MIM Mini Kit: Halloween Hugs, which includes an abundance of stamps and die AND an amazing patterned paper collection!
First up is a Halloween card - featuring Wicked Elixir, and a perfect sentiment from the Autumn Scarecrow stamp set. Lots of bright orange, a bit of black and the addition of vellum (with the dimensional tape hidden behind the little labels!) makes for an amazing holiday greeting.

AND...... now I've stepped away from the Halloween colors and theme. Although Betsy's wonderful MIM Mini Kit is appropriately named Halloween Hugs I have some non-Halloween tags created from this great kit. Go figure. But, hugs are great for other times too!
I started playing with the Halloween kitties and before I knew what was happening, I had three pretty kitty tags ready to attach to a gift bag or to add to a card. Just look at that adorable little 'Hugs' die! I even envisioned these as a baby girl or boy card, depending on the paper/bow color.....
Many thanks for taking a peek today! Please be sure to pop on over to Nichole's blog where you'll find more August inspiration and fabulous projects from Betsy, Dawn, Heather, Melissa, Lizzie, Laurie, Stephanie AND Wanda!

CAS(E) this Sketch #235
Happy Thursday and welcome to CTS #235! Chrissy has created a lover-ly, graphic sketch as inspiration. And..... just wait 'til you see all of the beauties from the DT. Lots of great color and fabulous variations in design!
My original card for this sketch can be seen here. A few of the comments regarding this card asked if I'd stamped the black lines/pattern using Papertrey Ink's Harvest Sunflower stems. I had not.....so thought that perhaps I could/should give this a try on my CTS #235 take two!
Although a quite a bit more subtle than card #1, this one incorporates my favorite navy with a bit of green and cream.
We hope that you'll find that this sketch begets a bit of creative exploration and will join in at CAS(E) this Sketch #235!
