PTI Blog Hop- April 2012

                                               

I love, love the photo that is inspiration for the PTI April Blog Hop! 

Can't you just see a girly nursery, or a beautiful shabby chic/Rachel Ashwell boudoir, using these fabrics/wallpapers/colors? I used many of my background stamps and made quite a few samples using the pinks and aquas. However, what I ended up with is all texture and patterned paper. All of those stamped backgrounds will be saved for future girly-ness!

ColourQ Challenge #133- Take Two

Well.... here I am again, re-cycling some of my ColourQ #133 bits from the still incredibly messy crafting cave/desk. I see these colors as more "masculine"- so how is it that my cards always turn out looking so, hmmm, un-manly?
OK, I have to tear myself away and do something outside..... it's a beautiful  79 degree day in upstate NY!!

I am back for another ColourQ combo! This truly was a "challenge" to create something pleasing to my eye, as the colors are quite out of my comfort zone and not my usual "girly" hues.

I suppose that is what's intended...... to stretch yourself a bit, right?

A teeny tiny bit of creative mojo has returned so it is time to try out my new MyThoughts Exactly stamps, PTI Simply Chartreuse papers, and the challenge over at the Colour Q blog! The pretty flower die is from the Lifestyle Crafts "Wildflower" spring set.
