Lots of bright and beautiful color here.... using the a-dorable little AMuse 'Hooray' stamp set that I just had to have - with the cutest bear and great bold sentiments!

Papertrey Ink Make-It-Monday: Petite Pattern Play

Happy Monday! I am over on the Papertrey Ink Blog today for the latest in the Make-It-Monday series for my version of 'Petite Pattern Play', where I challenge you to experiment with some of the smaller images from your larger stamp sets. It's all about free form stamping/playing!

This little pachyderm from Baby Mine is the perfect companion to the petite florals from How Are You Today?, both the solid and outline images. I loved this combination so much that I may have gotten a bit carried away in creating a series in a rainbow of color (Berry Sorbet, Harvest Gold, Orange Fizz, Green Parakeet).

I continued playing with a few more patterns, using the larger of the small 'star burst' stamps from Banners & Pennants, a die cut from Take Three as a guide and a lovely star stamp and sentiment from Stars & Stripes.

Oh.... and a bit more of that same star burst stamp, using a circular die cut from Tag Sale #12 as a guide, to create a background for the cute little fish from Salt Air: Fauna and the perfect petite sentiment from Salt Air: Sentiments. A few Rainstones add a bit of shine to this 4 1/4" square 'Best fishes' card.

Happy Thursday! It's a great day for a fabulous sketch/challenge, and the newest is provided by the talented Donna Mikasa - such a great design that can be interpreted in SO many ways. You'll surely find lots of inspiration from the DT, so please take a peek and then play along

This bright blend of Berry Sorbet/Dark Indigo/New Leaf just makes me happy........with a petite, scallop-y bouquet, pretty stripes and a snippet of coral hued twine.

Fusion Card Challenge - 'Rustic Flowers'

Welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge - 'Rustic Flowers'. The beautiful inspiration photo is a wonderful starting point. But that sketch is pretty great too! So, which will you try??
Both the lovely photo and the fabulous sketch  have helped to create this floral-y birthday card. I was inspired by the rustic wood textures and soft pinks/corals/greens. The bouquet-in-a-box serves as my focal point, with a blend of Papertrey flowers, foliage and sentiment.
The DT has provided some amazing inspiration, so be sure to HOP on over and join the party!
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as you jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together!

Since I have a giant pile of 12x12 pads (those $5 sales at Michael's get me.... every time!), I decided to pick out a few patterns and throw 'em all together! Lots of pretty florals and a bit of linen-y texture help to create this happy hello.
