The 12 Kits of Occasions-January 2017!

Welcome! SO happy to have you join us at The 12 Kits of Occasions... the very first post of 2017! Lindsey is our most fabulous hostess for this month and she has fashioned a beautiful collection - full of happy colors, lovely dies and the perfect sentiments and embellishments! 
There's LOTS of news to share too. Our dear friend, Joyce, has decided to step down and we will miss her terribly! However, we have a new friend joining us as part of the 12 Kits DT, Birgit Norton!
AND.... there's more! We have TWO amazing guest designers this month - Kathy McCloskey AND Leigh Penner!

CAS(E) this Sketch #206

Happy Thursday and welcome to CTS #206! Leigh has designed another lovely one..... and the DT's creations provide lots of variety that will surely impress/inspire.
Lil'inker Designs' 'The Little Things' was just the ticket for this card - the perfect winged birdie, a bit of foliage and a crisp sentiment. I love when one set provide all of the elements! Way less mess on my desk. However, one birdie usually begets another, and another. So there will be a few more designs to add to the stash!

PTI January 2017 Blog Hop

The beautiful photo for Papertrey Ink's January 2017 Blog Hop had me at florals and stripes (oh....and cookies)! And, as always, there's an abundance of amazing-ness in the gallery! I have a feeling there will be lots of pinning and CASE-ing goin' on here. 
Anyway.... how could I not play along? A bit of perfectly crisp b/w pp, every pink ink pad in my possession, a mix of florals (Painted Petals, Bigger Blooms) and a word die from PTI's 'Wonderful Words' were all that were required. Fortunately, there was still a bit of daylight left and just enough time for me to hop along. Many thanks for taking a peek!

CAS(E) this Sketch #205... take two!

Three posts in one day may be just a bit excessive. But I had one more up my sleeve for CTS #205! This little A4 (3.5x5) card is right up my alley (florals, of course). However, I may have taken a few liberties with the sketch....

Some pretty pinks, Spellbinder 'Blossom' dies, little leaves from Frantic Stamper and a tiny sentiment from W&W..... CAS is always the way to go!

Me? Oh, this one was a challenge. This card ended up looking kinda like a Christmas/Mickey Mouse combo (and not in a good way!). But.... I've got one more in the works, so stay tuned.

The Fusion Challenge-Australia Day

Happy Thursday and welcome to the newest Fusion Card Challenge! Such a great inspiration photo and an equally amazing sketch! There are many lovely DT projects too, so be sure to take a peek and, hopefully, be inspired to create away!
When playing along you may use the sketch OR the photo as your jumping off point. OR, if you are feeling super duper clever, you can fuse 'em together.

Unfortunately, there are no lemons or limes here! However, there are some beautiful yellows/greens and a bit of black (enamel dots, paint splatter) as an accent. Finally got to use the lovely flower from Altenew's set ('Beautiful Lady"), along with the crisp frame and stitched banners from Frantic Stamper.

Oh, just take a peek at this pretty little floral sketch from N@Ali! The DT has some lover-ly inspiration too. Can't wait to see how you are inspired to create for CAS(E) this Sketch #204!
I borrowed this floral-filled PTI stamp set from my MIL and began to play with color. Then..... a bit of gingham pp from A Muse and a few enamel dots. A quick, CAS card - which of course turned into 4-5 more. A great sketch to boost your stash!
