Papertrey Ink January 2018 Release - Day 1

Fiesta Flag birthday + Fiesta flag Birthday die

Stencil Basics: Diamonds + Quoted:Friendship

Good morning and welcome to Papertrey Ink's January release- Day 1! Oh.... SO much to show you, and just wait until you see what the rest of the amazing Papertrey Ink team has created!
Today I have the pleasure of introducing Lexi Daly's beautifully designed Fiesta Flag Birthday ensemble (stamps, dies and the most incredible Fiesta Flag Birthday Flag!), Stencil Basics: Diamonds from Dawn McVey and the newest in the 'Quoted' series, Quoted: Friendship, designed by Nichole Heady.
All of the new stamp sets and products that I am sharing today will be available to purchase on January 15th at 10PM ET, on the Papertrey Ink website.

I've created a shaker card with lots of Hawaiian Shores, the amazingly intricate (cuts so beautifully!) Fiesta Flag Birthday Flag die, some pretty little pearls, a bit of sparkle-y silver and the stamped and clear embossed Stencils Basics: Diamonds as my background.

Just a few layers of Bitty Big: Classic Kraft and the lovely Farmer's Market Florals helped to fashion this pretty Quoted: Friendship card. Lots of 'natural' hues in this combination (Classic Kraft, Simply Chartreuse, Summer Sunrise) and love that the Quoted: Friendship lines are separate and can be stamped in various colors!

Thank you so much for joining me today! Be sure to check out today's introductory post over on the Papertrey Ink blog and then check in on BetsyHeatherKeewayLaurie, Lizzie, MelissaStephanieWanda and Lexi to see how they've used these great new products. Have a wonderful day and I'll see you tomorrow!

Michele I just had an hour-long phone chat with a friend of 30+ years! She and I have lived near one another for 29 of those, and yet we pick up right where we left off the last time we chatted! All this to say: I adore your cards, but that last sentiment just says it ALL!!! Both creations are exquisite!

Your first card is a monochromatic beauty! It's a great design for a shaker. I love the brown and green on your second card, and the splash of yellow and orange are just perfect. Thanks for sharing your creativity.

Oh my goodness are these ever pretty! I have to say the last one is my favorite. That pop of color on the kraft and white is perfection!

I like the way you worked the Quoted stamp, positioning the lines closer together. That whole card is fabulous. Michelle, would you please share how you added the second layer of color to the tiny flowers from Farmer's Market? That really brings those flowers to life.

Your shaker card is fabulous but my favorite has to be the second card. I love that you made it out of browns. It really caught my eye. We should make more brown creations. They are so pretty

Hi Nancy! Many thanks for your kind words! I used an Inktense pencil to add a bit of color to those tiny blooms.... although I'm sure that any colored pencil would work beautifully.

Thank you, Michelle. That's something I can do without buying anything new! Yea!

Here's that silver and Hawaiian Shores combo again (sorry I’m viewing your great posts in reverse order), and it’s a lovely shaker card. Your Kraft Bitty Bigs with your colorful flowers and great sentiment really is outstanding, Michelle!
